In my opinion anyone that has ever changed a timing belt on a 3.5 Chrysler engine can do it.

PADROO is right. Find a mechanic who has worked on Chrysler product vehicles or any good front-end-engine mechanic. I'm totally OCD...I went to a highly respected hot rod shop near me, they gave me a referral...I went to the referral...took along a ton of parts and special Mopar Prowler tools, the '97-99 Diag/Svc Manual and a bunch of service charts. The mechanic smiled respectfully and assured me it was a fix he could do. He reminded me it was a Chrysler 3.5 engine and he had worked on quite a few of them. Yes, he understood "interference engines" and how important it was to get it right the first time. A couple sleepless nights later (I had a lot of other work done too), I picked up the car and my Prowler specialty tools and manuals and extra parts and charts and the car was fixed and road tested perfect. Once again, he smiled and thanked me for letting him work on the Prowler. Good luck.

Go to the local Dodge dealer and ask if they have a "Viper Certified" technician.

Even though most of the Mopar dealerships have plenty of technicians that can work on the 3.5 engine, the one who went through the effort to become Viper Certified is more than likely a "Car Guy" who would pay closer attention to the task at hand as well as show more respect for your vehicle.

Odds are that you will do OK. JMO
