How long is a factory recall effective? Is the motor company responsible until the recall is performed? I have a 99 and don't know if any recalls have been performed. |

Bob,,, Take the VIN# from your Prowler and take to a Chrysler or Dodge dealer....have the service mgr. run a Chrysler VIP Summary Report on your car The report will show what service has been done to your car at a dealership service department. Good luck! |

OK....replaced in 03. So that basically started the clock again. There's been a lot said and discussed regarding the ball joints. The ball joints along with the boots are an issue with these cars and at this time an issue that can't be ignored. Don't know how many miles has been put on car since the change out but at the very least you should (as we all should) use a low profile jack to left each side of the front suspension off the ground and move front wheel(s) making sure there is no obvious play in the ball joint housing. Everything should be tight. Again...replacement of the ball joints does not fix the problem. It just starts the clock again and the terrain and miles driven from that point will determine the point of future boot and ball joint failure. |
