One of the top things on my bucket list was to do an extended road trip in the Prowler. I can now say that has been accomplished. We left home on May 26th. On July 4th we got back home to Tucson with some of the most amazing memories to remember and cherish for the rest of our lives. The memories of attending the 20th Anniversary Celebration will forever make us smile when we think of all the things we saw and did. Seeing friends again that we made in Shipshewana last year and the new friends we made this year was one of the highlights of the trip. The things we saw and the things we did will afford us fond memories for the rest of our lives and as my sweet Mary Anne said many times "Just think it all started with a car." Well it may have started with a car but it sure turned out to be a whole lot more. Buying the car was a wonderful thing but joining this incredible group of people has turned out to be the real joy of owning a Prowler and we thank you all. One pretty amazing thing is that in the 5918 miles we traveled, less than a hundred miles was driving in the rain. Cool temps and blue skies was pretty much the norm for those six weeks. We spent time with our families, we visited many life long friends, we attended little league baseball games, went to Brantley Gilbert and Lo Cash concerts at Burlington Steamboat Days in Iowa on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, we even saw the worlds largest rocking chair in Casey, IL. It was at least four stories tall. The scenic backroads out in the country were awesome to drive on and the roads in Michigan were some of the most, shall we say, challenging roads we've been on in a very long time. Everywhere we went and every time we stopped there were ALWAYS people wanting to know about the Prowler, shooting videos going down the road, giving us the thumbs up and taking pictures. This was truly the trip we've always dreamed of having. The great thing about this summer is in just five more days we're leaving for another six week road trip in the new Vet but I think it's safe to say that it won't get nearly the attention the Prowler got. We hope you all have as much fun this summer as we're having and that you enjoy every minute of every day. Take care. Jer |

Loved the time we spent with you two (even though you kept causing our waitresses' to leave for safer grounds). Hope to see you again. Be safe. |

Great to meet you two. I missed last year's trip and didn't meet you then so glad to have had the chance. I read a lot of your posts and said to myself that sounds like a pretty nice guy. My impression was confirmed. Glad you all made it back safe and sound and made all types of memories. Anybody that likes margaritas is my kind of guy!!! |

Thanks for all of the replies and nice comments. It was such fun seeing everyone in Michigan. Pat we look forward to seeing you and Sally the next time you're in Tucson. As a matter of fact, to anyone in this big happy family who comes to Tucson or Phoenix just send me a message and let us know when you're going to be around and we'll try to get together with you. We love to have a good time and the POA members we've met so far are a great bunch of folks to have a good time with. Lol. It's a little hot out here right now (109) but it's a great winter time getaway. Jer |

Jer, Thanks for sharing your adventure with all of us. The Prowler does make many friends around the country. Can you imagine owning any other car that would introduce you to so many people in so many places? Ed Monahan told me at lunch in Port Huron that they've been on over 70 Prowler events. We met Larry Lord, Ed Monahan and Mike Gatlin at Larry Lord's original event at the Grand Canyon. CJ tried to catch up with Larry Lord during his current adventure but unfortunately wasn't able to make it. If she had that would have been 17 years since the original. Keep enjoying your new friends. |
