HUGE thanks to Richard Linnemann for the "FIXIT" on my Prowler center caps. A really excellent solution. Lightning fast turnaround, superior packing, very nice work, VERY reasonable cost. Also thanks to Ed Monahan for pointing me in Dick's direction. The POA is invaluable and the members amazingly helpful.

Richard Linneman has made many many Prowler owners very happy. He and Ed Monahan were the first of many who have helped me when I’ve needed guidance over the years. The POA has been a God send to me and I am forever indebted to so many members who have been there for me. I’m thankful to belong to such a wonderful organization. Jer

Once again, I have nothing to do with the fix. Dick came up with it but he doesn't do the internet thing so I posted it for him. I appreciate the appreciation but I don't deserve any credit, really. (Most of the long time members know I am a real computer guru, lol).

Hi Ed,
Seeing this post reminded me that I still need to get the caps on my trailer upgraded. But I think the center ring design may differ for the trailer since the lugnuts sit farther back on the trailer wheels. Could Dick still help with this too? The Prowler Store did the upgrade for my car when I was a newbie and didn't know better. They have worked ok but I want to support our POA members.

No the trailer is an entirely different set up. I took my trailer to Dick and he said it wouldn't work. Sorry.

Pat, Since Dick's method won't work on the trailer, this might be a good time to try the epoxy strong magnet method. Beachcat posted this fix a few years ago. I realize he's a little controversial, but it may be worth a try. You can do a search for it.

The fix works on the trailer guys....mine has chrome wheels and I had 6 modified. All good. To be honest, it never occurred to me that it wouldn’t!

Just to clarify. I had Ed/Dick modify six chrome centres for my car and trailer. They arrived and I fitted all 6 with no issue. My trailer has the Chrome 15” wheels.

Dave,
Thanks for the info! Are the caps as secure with the same tight fit on the trailer as they are on the car?

Now that I read those replies it reminds me of what happened at the Las Vegas event. It WILL work on some trailers, but not all of them. So if you have a trailer, take off one of your center caps and see if it will work on the trailer. That way you know ahead of time, before having it done and then they won't fit.
