Sold my Prowler a few days ago. Never thought I would say those words. Owned it for 16 years. Bought it new and put on 28K miles. Enjoyed every minute of owning it, but something told me it was time. I will continue to watch this site. I can't say enough about the "Prowler years" of my life. As I watched it pull away, I realized that no other car out there will ever look that good to me. Just curious, what have other people, that sold their Prowlers, bought next?? |

went from the Prowler in 2006 to a Custom 2005 Chevy SSR, modified a 2011 Camaro convertible to over 500 HP, then settled on a 2003 Dodge Viper. The Prowler will always the most special car I have ever owned |

I just sold my 2005 SSR which I had for 9 years and kept my 2001 prowler that I've had since 2013. Prowler is more fun to drive and gets a lot more looks and thumbs up signs. |

I just sold my Black Tie a couple weeks ago after 15 years. I know your feeling. A great loss; however, a great memory to cherish. |

I traded my 2002 Prowler for a 1978 Corvette Indy Pace Car. The Prowler was fun for the time I had it and got tons of attention, but it was time to move on to something older with a lot more power. My pace car has 350 horsepower and is more fun to drive than my Prowler was due to the increase in horsepower. I don't regret the decision at all. |

I don't understand when people sell their prowlers to get a more powered car. The prowler has enough power. I am tired of getting pulled over for going fast on the roads. I understand if you are getting of age and it's hard to get in and out of the car. Or you are upgrading for Track where you would want a more horsepower car, or you want more room because you have kids. But just selling a prowler for another sports car doesn't make sense to me. Everyone takes a picture of the Prowler and not their cars. If I ever had to sell my prowler it would be a devastation. |

Had a friend that put it best. People always notice the Prowler and often stop and ask questions about it. He had a pair of half million dollar cars at the time and would get upset when no one noticed them of asked about them when he'd stop for gas. There's a reason that there are so many different cars out there. You can have whatever you want. If you like fast, there has been no better time than today to purchase an affordable performance car. People will look back to today and remember when you could walk into a Ford, Chevrolet or Chrysler dealership and purchase a 600 to 700 horsepower car. The problem that I have is that very few people are really capable of driving a 700 horsepower vehicle safely. Prowler is what it is. As my friend Bob said, either you get it or you don't. |

Here's something to think about. If Chrysler still made Prowler would they stuff a 707 horsepower Hellcat engine in it? I have my opinion. |

quote: I don't think so. Being practical about it they would have to beef up the whole drive train and cooling system, they would have to upgrade the breaking and include traction control and ABS. And add a manual transmission. They could put a small V8 WITH 350 HP and not go so crazy on upgrades. A coupe makes a better car for mega HP because they are naturally more rigid than a convertable. |

quote: I don't think they would The prowler weighing 2,800 lbs and that much power would not make a very street able car. At check in at Mecum this year one inspector checking in a 427 Cobra said it should have a 4 cylinder, it would be better driving. Same with the Prowler 707 hp, more than a race prepped cobra would be a scary fast car and high liability Would I like to have one, HELL YES would it be useful, NO, would it kill people YES How many Supercars get crashed on the way home? As Bob stated very few people have the skills to drive 700 hp RESPECT says it best, because if you don't respect it it will BITE you. I would be ok with a 6.1 in mine.......LOL Who needs a HellCat This has gotten off the I sold my Prowler, life changes, needs change heck we change our underwear daily, is it really necessary? Most cases probably not but we like change and most can only have one cool car at a time. Would I sell my Prowler, if the price was right, I could see a 61 Corvette in my future then............
