...so much to say ...during the last 15 years of Prowler ownership we have met so many nice people, good people, people we are proud to call our friends and you will remain our friends forever...we have attended many Prowler events and Debbie and I even made an attempt to entertain you with the NHN for the last 7 years, and it has all been a blast, an absolute blast, something I will never forget ...what started as a joke, "Nursing Home Nationals", turned out to be a real deal event and this last weekend for Lucky #7 we had record attendance and fed nearly 100 people before the night was over...we had Prowlers, Vipers, Challengers and even a new Vette tagged along...we were definately OVER CAPACITY, LOL ...we have visited the Indy 500, Wright Patterson AFB, Hoosier Park and Casino, the Skillman Auto Collection, my friends collection of Jags and Indy-Pace Vettes, the childhood home of the Wright Brothers...we have eaten road kill at the "Highway 38 Diner", we've been to nice places to eat, had a birthday party for someone every time we visited Los Amigos...I especially enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere at Cammack Station the last 2 years and even last years "Home Coming Parade" was a pleasant surprise for many as well as the New Castle Cruise In and Prowler Parade this year ...we have visited the James Dean and Gas City Hot Rod Shows every year, this year there were over 4,000 cars to view at the two events... we have visited the James Dean burial site, his childhood home, and had a real close look at small town America every time we visited Fairmount Indiana, small town America really does still exist if you look hard enough ...Debbie even put on her own event this year for the girls, they visited a jewelry store, a huge candle store, a winery and something else us guys could have cared less about , but it was a nice change of pace for them too...the last year or so I felt we had seen it all, it was very difficult to come up with something of interest, so, maybe its time to end it with a lot of good memories ...New Castle has been my home for over 60 years even though I lived in another state and another country for a few years, I always knew where my roots were...many of you know we recently purchased a home in Palm Coast Florida and hope to spend more time there as the weather gets colder here in Indiana...I'm actually planning on heading that direction in a week or so as soon as I get a few things settled up here ...the future, even though the NHN is history, you will be invited back to New Castle for a future event (in the works) and I also have ideas for "The Alligator Nationals" in Florida in 2015 ...for me, its now time to relax and enjoy retirement ...please remember, even if there isn't an official event here in New Castle, you are all ALWAYS welcome to visit as you pass thru Indiana going to other places, and as we get more settled in Florida, we hope you all can find your way there too, we're just 5 minutes from the ocean, bring your speedo and your own sun tan lotion ...so(finally), thank you my friends for the fun, the memories and especially the friendships we have shared, wish you all well and hope our Kats meet again soon ...picture taken in New Castle Indiana, the part of town you have yet to visit |

we have been fortunate enough to attend all but one of the Nursing Home Nationals....we have enjoyed them all....Larry and Debbie are excellent hosts and always go out of their way to make the weekend interesting and lots of fun. thanks soo much for all the great times....we have met lots of people we now claim as friends. what started out about the cars has morphed into great social events. hope the next chapter carries on in the NHN tradition... |

Bummer. I have always wanted to attend NHN but something always conflicted. (mostly work related) Hopefully I can attend the future event you are planning or if we get up your way sometime take you up on your offer to drop in. I would love to see you collection, |
