I find this happens quiet frequently that people post questions or things for sale but never respond when sent a PM or asked a question in the forum. Many people get advice but never report back to let everyone know what worked and what didn't. Signed frustrated in Canada.robin |

Just as bad are those who commit to buying an item in the CLASSIFIEDS,,,and then never sending the payment nor responding to additional requests.... Glad that doesn't happen too much,,,most of our members are good, decent people |

Sometimes questions don't get answered on a thread because unless the member is subscribed they may not know the question was addressed to them if they don't return to the thread... Happened to me a few times where I noticed a question directed to me 2 or 3 weeks later... I suggest if you don't get answers then send a pm to follow up.. |

We can only be responsible for ourselves. There is no cost to post in the forums or in the classified section. Not everyone understand PM's I try to answer questions on a timely basis both PM's and posts but am sometimes slow myself. In answer to Larry's comment about people committing to buy and never responding, its very true. Over the many group purchases that I've offered, the difference between who says that they want something and who actually pays makes these risky propositions. For example, there was a lot of interest in replacement radiator hoses, now that they're available I think that I may have made another mistake. Maybe I'll finally learn. I got into this because Kees needed them for his latest car. |

Bob, Sorry that you have been "stung" or "short changed" from time to time. We "dedicated" enthusiasts have appreciated the many items you have made available to us in the past, and I personally refer many new owners to the products you have made available. Thanks so much. quote: |

I have had no problem at all getting answers to all the questions about Prowlers. I would grade this forum A plus. I'm on a bunch of forums about cars and this one is at the top. On the other hand.if you visit the political part of the forum you may never hear anything because most people don't agree on political subjects, that's expected. I drove BMWs for years and would rate some of their forums D minus. Those guys don't play well together..grin |

quote: I would agree, but that's just based on my experience since March when I bought my Kat. I've had a number of questions being new and I can't think of one time that my question didn't meet with one or more answers. I've tried to reply back with results as well when I felt it would be helpful. I don't have many questions left at this point, now just waiting for occasions that I can give back with my vast knowledge of Prowlers cough cough haha |

I only wish that more people would actively participate. With roughly 11,700 cars built and the unique features of the car, the Prowler owner community needs to come together if they hope people will continue to develop parts that they need to keep their cars on the road long term. The people that have stepped up and supply some of these parts need and desire our support. I just opened a package with spoons vertical stabilizer links. The parts and instructions are first class. I never expected to ever see the rear splash guards that Tom Mills is now offering. He made a good size investment in tooling. I hope that he sells enough to recover his investment. I'm looking for a Wonder Bar from Larry Lord. His products and service are first class. I believe that his hinge protectors should be on every car. We all don't have to agree. We need to get along for the benefit of all Prowler owners. The investment in knowledge regarding the car here is priceless. Having it all in one place can't be described. Owning an old Rambler, I recognize the value in having a source for both parts and information. |

Hello.. As I reread my post I realize that I must have been agitated buy one or two incidents. I love this forum and won't want to lose all the great people with so much knowledge. (More than willing to share it) I also look at the names that have posted in this thread. You are all very familiar to me because you guys generally respond. This was not and attack on the POA. Just a reality that happens . Thank you to everyone for constantly providing there knowledge and skills . With out question this is the best and most interesting car site.robin |

Robin,,,,I didn't take your initial post as an attack on the website,,you were just making a point that some who ask for help,,don't report back their findings. We've seen that hundreds of times over the years...and ask those owners to respond back to their thread. Some do,,some don't. Its the same way with our local Arizona group of Prowler owners,,,,many of which we never see or hear from, unless they have a Prowler problem Thank YOU for being a active part of the POA community of owners! |

I hate to admit that I agree with A/C, but I didn't take your original post as a slam on the site. Most of the OLD timers are extremely reliable. Some of the newer ones, not so much. Again, SOME is the key word, most of the folks who are newer and are responsible will some day be old timers. The folks who are not so reliable will move on to something else, probably. That is just how things tend to progress. I am very happy that we constantly have new folks. That means the car is appealing to a lot of folks. |

The worst thing that happened to me was when I was telling folks about how to modify the stock muffler to sound like a borla ( I think Kraut did it originally ) one of the members was asking me questions about what tools he needed and how it was done so I offered to send him my tools that I bought just to do the mod for him to use and then offer them up to send to anyone else that was interested and keep them going as a no cost loan system for members.... I paid the shipping to him, the items cost $40 and never heard from him again.... no thank you, no return of the tools.... He was online here for a year or so afterwards, I sent him one pm asking him how it went and he never replied.... must have sold his car cause I haven't seen him for 3 years or so. All I remember is that he had a Silver and was from Alberta.... Grace skinned me for $50 on the grille fiasco, I got stuck with $15 on the calendar project once, even though I sold them at cost... something about not wanting to pay the tax on 10 of them even though I had to pay for it myself............. The friendship, help and awesome members here out shadow the little irritants by 1,000,000 percent, I'd be lost without this site. |
