As I was leaving Best Buy, a young couple was standing by the drivers door clicking a remote and pointing it at the car. The Prowler had nothing inside. When I walked up to the car they quit and started talking about the car as if they were interested. I didn't do anything or say anything.. I just got into the car and drove off. They never moved away from the car. I looked back in the mirror and they just kept standing there.

Would you have done anything different?

He male was holding the devise at waist level and moving it as if he was opening a door, then quickly put it in his coat pocket. They held their ground and never moved. I couldn't see much I could do about it since they car was still locked and it would be my word against the two of them.I didn't want to get into a conversation with them,so I just got in and drove off.You never know whats really taking place.I guess I could have reported a strange event to the police but just moved on with shopping.

I agree with catfish...that's exactly what they may have been trying to do.

From what I understand, a person can read the code when you use a remote; then when you go into a store they will have access to your vehicle.
