The lowrider guys have been getting alot of tickets for not meeting the legal front bumper requirements for height. Tennessee state law requires a front bumper. For some reason the police don't like lowriders. We have huge car shows in Gatlinburg each year with many custom cars and hotrods and cruisers, I've never seen one pulled over because of the bumper law unless it was a lowrider.I don't want to remove my front bumper but I was wondering if anyone else that has removed the front bumper has ever been ticketed. I think that there are few enough of our cars on the road that most "non owners" would not notice the bumpers are gone. This would be especially true if you then installed a turn signal relocation kit to cover where the brackets went through the body. |
