So when the guy bought my prowler, I spoke with him on the phone and told him to send me an email if he was interested in the weekender, bumpers and side panels (as well as all the other stuff I have for the car, like the hood badge). I have heard a peep from the guy. How long should I wait before I put the stuff up for sale? I was going to give him the bumpers like it was suggested (along with the CD, hood badge, etc.) but the other stuff I was going to sell. I am just afraid that the day after I sell the stuff, the guy is going to email me. I don't have his contact information (email, phone number, etc.) although, if I REALLY wanted to, I could probably get it - may lose my job, but it isn't impossible. I haven't seen him post here either, so I am in somewhat of a quandary on what to do. I really feel that the stuff that came with the car, should be with the car, even though there aren't ID numbers stamped on the parts that would have to match - I just never thought I would part the car out - so to speak... but then, I never saw myself selling the car either |

I don't think you owe him anything except the cd that came with the car and any original parts for the car that you may have taken off. If you haven't heard from him then you aren't obligated to wait. Sell the rest! The weekender was not an original part. |

Quite frankly, you advertised and sold the car "as is". Maybe you "offered" to give him the extra parts, but once he paid you and left, any "obligation" is through. I think you have extended a nice courtesy in hanging on to these items, even original parts, as long as you have. If he were to call the day after you sell them - advise him you are sorry, never heard from him, and point him in the direction of POA classifieds for items. JMO |

quote: Well there you go. If you spoke with him and verbally told him what free parts you had available and he did Not respond with with an INSTANT Yes or No, then I would say that he is not that interested in having them at THIS time. |

Cliff, just give me a call. I'll swing by and take them off your hands. No since in you worrying about it.
