Any local prowler owners wanna lend me their car from 8am til 2pm on Sun. July 10th? Jeeps drive across America is stopping at a local dealership I do the body work for. Ive donated to the cause and they are giving me a booth to set up for my shop. I would like to have a prowler as the main focal point. I have a customer that I did a complete dis-assembly refinish on that I'll be contacting. Just incase he is not avail, Id like a back up.

Mr Cunningham, If you see this can you give me a call at the shop tuesday?
Don

Wow! What a tremendous event! The event was called, "The Crossing of America". It started out in San Diego Ca on aircraft carrier "Midway". It is two Jeeps wrapped in the American Flag. Its purpose is to zig-zag up and down through the states making stops along the way at Jeep dealers across the country. The "Crossing" is to raise money for the fallen and wounded soldiers in the recent wars and fighting. Once it reached Houston, there were over 200 vehicles that joined the 30 mile trek to the dealership shutting down freeways and the like. Once there, they were joined by the local Fire Dept, Sherriff's Dept, NFL Celebs, Mothers Memorial for the Fallen, Marines,Army,Navy,Airforce,Seals Team, and entertainment was by Kevin Black (Clints older brother). The event was sponsored by vendors of the dealership. We had Fajitas,Snowcones, soft drinks, water, energy drinks etc. My booth gave away over 600 pieces of icecream alone. There were water slides (Tom Randalls favorite), sponge gun fights, face painting, art cars, and even helecopter rides! they had door prizes out the wazzoo! Although organizers planed well expecting a large crowd, they didnt anticipate the success. The "Crossing of America" ends on 9-11-2011 with the give away of the two Jeeps at Ground Zero. Much Gratitude goes out to Steve Cunningham and Tom Randall for bringing their cars out to support my booth! A Big Thank you to those guys, but most of all, God Bless America and our BRAVE Men and Women in our Armed Forces.

ps. At the end, there was a balloon released for each fallen soldier with their name and date killed in action.

Glad we were able to help out Don. But man was it hot and humid. I thought I would get there early to unload and set up before it was too bad, but at 7am it was in the 90's with what felt to be 100% humidity. Once I got the cars out, I was already soaking wet, and by the time I detailed mine out, it looked like I had taken a few rides down the water slides!

After a couple of changes of clothes during the day, all went well, and we visited with a lot of folks and had a great time. I am sunburnt beyond belief and think it will take me a week to get rehydrated!!!

It will be tough for the rest of us to put up such a great presentation as this project moves across America.
We'll be there for Manchester to Portsmouth, NH to Portland and Kennebunkport.

I can see the map but I can't seem to get the "Jeep dealers" to show up. I was interested in where they were
going here in Cincy. Indy to Cincy to Louisville Aug 3rd and 4th, I think it is.

Ed
Only 2 dealers from Ohio are on the Honor Roll Page.
Don't know if they are stopping at those dealers or some place else. The one listed in NJ is way off the route.

Walker Chrysler Jeep Dodge

Thanks Steve. Centerville is just south of Dayton, so about 40 miles away.
