My 2000 Prowler has a problem with the head lights. When the head lights switch is pulled out, both sides come on, but the blue high beam indicator comes on also. When the dimmer lever is pulled up, both head lights go off and the amber lights in the bumper comes on. In other words I can't get the head lights on dim!!!! Has anyone had this problem before? |

Ken, Check to see if the low beam bulbs are bad first, If they are OK , most likely the dimmer switch is failing. A while back, I believe some one posted there is a fuse also for the low beams, You might want to check the fuse panel first. I haven't checked mine for a fuse, but some car manufactors do use a fuse for headlamps. Check the easiest cause first. This message has been edited by phil2237 on 07-12-2011 at 01:27 PM |

the fuse is in the pdc behind lt side panel.there is also a low beam relay in the same box.the location of relay is printed inside pdc.cover. ------------------ |

Since this topic is headlights, how do you turn your bright lights on? |

the lever/stalk,by the tilt wheel stalk is a multi function switch,pull/click it towards you.it also works the wipers and interior light dimmer and turn sigs..when its on highbeam a symbol will light up on the cluster telling you the highbeams are on. ------------------ |
