If i had a V8 in mine i would have ripped up the tires and maybe blown an engine. The ones that talk about the Prowler never had one. So they know nothing. |

Except for the lack of a V8 the article seemed mostly positive towards the Prowler. At one point they asked have you ever seen a Hot Rod without a V8? Yes I Have. I have seen Hot Rods with 4 cyl, V6 and straight six's. |

I could care less that my Prowler doesn't have a V8..... Number 1, I didn't buy it to race. Number 2, Mr Policeman says I can only drive 65 mph on the interstate highways and even less on other highways and streets in Ohio.....My V6 does that just fine... Having a V8 under the hood would be like pissing yourself in a blue suit....It give you a warm feeling but you're the only one that knows about it |

I didn't buy my prowler for speed i bought it because it looks better than any car on the road (JMO) and when people ask what year it is they can't believe its a 2001 and it has 60,000 miles on it. |

This is the TIME magazine article, and they are mean about it. The other link is the response to the TIME magazine. http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1658545_1658544_1658536,00.html Here is the quote that hurts. "The Prowler didn't even have a manual transmission, which made it almost impossible to lay down the requisite stripes of hot rubber. The result was a flaccid little jerk of a car that threatened much but delivered little." If the prowler had a manual transmission i wouldn't have bought it. Back in 1978 i got hit by a drunk driver on my motorcycle and my left knee hasn't been the same since. |

Worst list are, in general, crap. Anyone who has an ax to grind will apply any opinion they want because its human nature to talk crap about things they do not understand. To some the world will always be flat and to those people(the ones who feel it necessary to come up to you at the gas station and say that the car is nice but no Viper or no Ferrari or is not as fast as my car over there) I let them know i am glad to have met them because i know there is at least one person in this world who has a more sad pathetic and small existence than my own. |

While driving backwards in a parade once, someone yelled out from the crowd... What's it got in it? (my response) A 518 (his response) Oh cool! (perplexed look on his face) (guy next to him) What did he say? (his response) A 518 (guy next to him) What's that? (his response) I don't know... |

I had a guy at a local event tell me it would have been a great car if it had a V8 in it. My response was the numbers weren't bad for the time the car was built and I read somewhere that Chrysler didn't have a V8 that was right for the Prowler at that time. Most Chrysler cars from that time period only had V6 options and they had no intention of building a V8 for a car that was only going to be a short production run. The guy above upset my wife, she said "Why did he say that". |

I can get a speeding ticket just as easy as that guy in a V-8. If I wanted a true V-8, I would get another Ford V-8 Flat Head. I guess that tells you how old I am. |
