This post is for input as to if the Prowler Store should continue. It appears we have a lot of people WHO DO NOT READ THE INFORMATION ON THE SITE and order one day and expect the order to be processed and delivered within the next week or two. If they don't receive the order they start a Pay-Pal Dispute without contacting us. The site clearly states that the majority of the items are made to order and take from 4-6 weeks and your credit card is charged at the time of the order. Items that begin with "JN" are ordered every 2-3 months unless the minimum of 12 items is achieved. We have lost many vendors over the years because of lack of volume and have had to consolidate to the vendors who support our low volume. Is it time to put this store to sleep? Let me hear your feedback! Phil |

I have found that the products and services have been outstanding.... I always understood that it would take time to get items and Phil always kept me informed... Keep up the great work Phil, I sure hope you keep the store going, don't let those that aren't paying attention ruin a good thing... JMO |

I for one would like to see the store stay but if the problems outweigh the benefits, you will need to do what needs done. I for one would like to see it stay if for nothing else, to keep the licensing agreements intact so we can get items in the future. JMO |

Maybe the items need to be clearly separated on the order form with bigger bolder font what is a hold item and what will ship promptly. Or grouped differently. Maybe try something different. I don't see why we all should allow a few *insert your word here* to ruin it for all. Personally, I think more would commit to a purchase if they didn't have a minimum to obtain. But in some cases I understand why that is. |

I've made some changes to the Prowler Store capitalizing the information on each of the sites different pages; Home, Apparel, Car Accessories, and Miscellaneous. Please let me know if something is unclear. Phil |

While I will preface this that I have not bought from the store, one possible cause could be you are charging a person's cc at time of order versus time of shipment, and if it has been a month since they ordered it, they are impatient. Don't know if it is possible or not, but I for one would prefer to be billed, then have items arrive, even IF the order was placed 4-6 weeks prior. Does that make sense? |

StingRay we would love to be able to charge when the item is shipped but unfortunately we send almost all orders to multiple vendors who have different build timeframes; American Stitchco, Car and Trailer bras, 1-3 weeks (usually have 1 in stock) CoverCraft, Car and Trailer Covers, 3-4 weeks, built by order. Designer Mats, Floor Mats, 1-2 weeks, built by order. MetaFab, misc parts, 1-2 weeks. usually have 1 in stock. MGP, Caliper Covers, 2-4 weeks depending on custom paint. Jack Nadel, has a minimum quantity because of the embroider. NotePads, Post-It-Notes, Flashlights, and Umbrella's are in stock and usually ship in 1-2 days. Because of this we do not know when the other vendors will build and ship the orders we send them which is why we charge at time of order. I have been the recipient of both excellent service and of items that were never shipped. Since they were separate orders, I did not lose any money. I find the products excellent and would hate to lose the source of these specialized items. Having had several business, I certainly understand the challenges you face and did not have a problem with the system. I would hope you will stay with it. JMHO |

Here's the real question; has anyone ordered anything for the site store and not received it? Isn't this a question about not understanding the timing? |

I have ordered a few items over the past few years and getting ready to order a few more. I always got what I expected - if not more. Quality and service has been the best. No problems whatsoever with the store.

I sure hope you can keep the store running. I for one appreciate the effort and have no problem with billing. I'm sure vendors want payment or the store must have it on hand when needed. I was pleasantly surprised to learn we can order car covers for other models. Just received a challenger cover; perfect fit. |

Phil and I appreciate the input on the store. He's already made some changes so that the fulfillment information is more easily read. That is the key, however. If you are ordering, please read the delivery information carefully, so there are no misunderstandings. We've had owners order items, expecting them in a few days and when that doesn't happen, they are contacting PayPal and reversing their payments. In the meantime, the order is being processed and we are left with paying the vendor for it. We used to have two vendors that we worked with. Phil's in CA and mine in MI. Unfortunately, the vendor in MI was no longer being retained by Chrysler and so they chose to drop us as a customer because we are small with smaller orders. At that time, Phil's vendor was able to take over the items. This vendor is no different. Since we aren't ordering huge quantities of items, they require a minimum order of any combination of items. This keeps the cost down. We do not have the ability to order and stock inventory. We appreciate your patronage of the store and hope that you will continue ordering. ALL profit from these orders goes towards the funding of the website. If you have any questions regarding the store, please contact Phil or me through pms or from the home page!! ------------------ The Prowler makes you smile. Why? Because it's focused. It has a plot, a reason for being, a passion. It evokes the hot rod. It evokes the American Dream. This car is the human psyche.

Phil, CJ and any others that have been helping behind the scenes - YOUR EFFORTS ARE APPRECIATED!! I wouldn't hesitate to order anything from you because I know I will get it. Unfortunately, most people are in hurry-up mode and expect everything to be instantaneous these days. Companies that do special orders, limited runs and small quantity production are getting harder to find and always take longer. Considering the limited availability of any accessories for our beloved Prowlers and their owners, it would be real unfortunate to loose the Prowler Store. I have ordered from you in the past, have NEVER been dissatisfied and will look forward (hopefully) to being able to order again when the need arises. Waaaaay back, I sold some things here on POA. Cat decals, flag caddies, shirts and jackets, license plate frames, etc. It is a major pain in the butt. Really a lot of work and every body wanted what you could get except in a different color with their color car on it. I lost money on every project I undertook and one or two folks claimed they never received the product so I replaced it. Back then it was really hard to find things Prowler related and most everything was Purple, only. I would hope everyone really appreciates all the work that Phil puts in on those projects. It is a pain and they are not making a living doing all the work. They are doing it to help out the rest of us. Thanks |
