Passing this on from Cicel, he sent me an e-mail tonight

had my surgery yesterday. They removed a tumor from my left thyroid (which is part of the throat). They were going to hold me overnight (tonight) and operate on the right section in case the cancer infected that side too.

I was really scared that I might lose my voice, since that was a possible consequence of this surgery.

HOWEVER, they told me about an hour ago that the tests came back and they don't have to do ANY MORE SURGERY. At this stage, THE CANCER IS GONE!!! NO CHEMO, NO RADIATION!!!! I'M FREE!!!!!
