I was on you tube tonight trying to find some commercials i remember seeing. I had no luck finding them so i searched Prowler and found this show Was he ever wrong. I know many that have been cross country with just the car and I bought mine for sticker price in July 1998 He is right about getting attention now any you tube experts. I was looking for the commercial that had a modified Barracuda (think blown 68) and the dad was taking it because his battery was dead. I think it was a diehard commercial the other was a AMC commercial and think it was an AMX and the dad yells to the mom about it being butchered Do you remember these? ------------------ |

I remember the AMC commercial, maybe for the Gremlin? The son takes the "stock" new car out for a spin and to dad's surprise, returned with a heavily modified car. When he quizzed the son about the modifications, the son replied with "I made it better" |

I think you are right, it was likely the AMX. I too was much younger and probably not yet driving.

The car in question was a '68 or '69 Javelin. The car that the AMC AMX was based upon. Dad was a bit upset after the son had "improved" dad's shiney, new AMC Javelin. |
