After nearly 2 years of dreaming, searching, negotiating and generally planning I've found my Prowler, 20 miles from my home right in my own backyard, so to speak, after pursuing leads all over the U.S. It's a red '99 with 32,000 gentle miles on which I've been able to put 100 enjoyable miles so far (just before the weather closes in and forces 5 months of winter storage). I want to eventually add a hardtop, what I call the "horse collar" spoiler that sits behind the top (I don't know what this is called or where to find one) and flames, after bumper removal/rear roll pan installation and some other personal touches. I've searched everywhere I can think of and can't find any pictures of red Prowlers with hardtops and/or flames. What am I missing? The pictures I've found are all black/yellow/silver cars. I'd really love to see red Prowlers done up this way to get my juices flowing. Can anybody help? |

Welcome to the family and congratulations on your purchase. The spoiler you are looking for (I think) is a TGF spoiler that to the best of my knowledge is no longer in production but I could be wrong about that. Here is a link to show the one I am thinking about. (It was sold recently) http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum6/HTML/007114.html Look in the Prowlin' Friends Scrapbook and you may after looking at all the photo's, find some great idea's. Keep in mind that you can ask about almost anything here and get help from someone on the subject. You can also utilize the search feature to research your questions as well. There is not much that has not been discussed in the archives. I have had my car almost a year now and even though my Dad bought his new, having my own has been an absolutely wonderful experience. The people here are great. |
