On aftermarket rims, you have to think about the right backspacing. Org. backspacing works on the 7.5 x 17 and 10 x 20" rims well. The org. 20" in the rear can have less backspacing for a cooler look. ( about 1/2 to 3/4 inch)

If you use the org. backspacing on 8 x 17" in the front, the
wheel sits a bit to fare to the outside of the front fender.
( The fender can be adjusted with some spacers)

If you run 10x 22inch rims, and you use the org. backspacing, the rear wheel sits a bit to much in the fender. With 3/4 to 1 inch less backspacing, the wheel
sits more to the outside in the rear fenders on 22inch rims . I saw many Prowlers with 285/35R22 tires and
225/35R19 in the front. ( I run the same combo)

Intro Rims, Budnik and many other wheel manufactures do one off rims and custom set ups, if needed.

Talk to a wheel & tire proffessionel, they can messure the rims front & backspacing for your need.

So....with the stock rims on the rear, how much wider of a tire will it fit with the same sidewall height? I would like about 2" wider if possible.
