What aftermarket products would you like to see produced? For me it would be retractable mud flaps. Speedbumps, train tracks driving through a field at a car show and many more ocassions where I wish I had a toggle on the dash that with a flip of the switch would pull the mudflaps up inside the fender. No more trimmed mudflaps and no rock rash. Well that's mine what's yours? |

Triple throttle body intake plenum with required computer programming. One that does not require cutting the hood. Along with that an actual cold air intake. This message has been edited by BeWare on 01-11-2007 at 12:06 PM |

My wish list is simple: 1) Aftermarket side panels with functioning louvers (just like the panels on CJ's Deep Candy Red........) 2) Aftermarket (outside) rear view mirrors with integral turnsignals. (My wife is always complaining that I don't cancel the signals after a turn). 3) A factory appearing taillight that would receive a glass "blue dot" and actually look purple from behind. I have the ability to louver the existing side panels like the ones shown. I do not have a core set so one would have to be available or I would have to do yours. I am going to be on vacation until January 30 if anyone is interested. ------------------ |

Gary, It is my understanding that there is an inside structure that prevents the side panels from receiving a horizontal row of louvers. I have been told that the outer skin must be stamped first & then attached to the inner support. Never having the panels off of our Kat, I can't confirm/deny this. I've also been told that the aluminum on these panels does not lend itself well to louvers, & yet a few Kats do have them...... Anyone out there care to comment on any of the above? |

I remember the Blue Dots being discussed. What most don't realize is that the bulb & the Blue Dot must be parallel with the earth and concentric with each other for there to be the ultimate purple "glow" from behind. As OEM installed, the Prowler taillight lense will Also, for what it's worth, the best impact can be achieved with the glass "dots" (five sided on close inspection). The plastic dots can be recognized by their six sided shape. Plastic is not near as effective as glass. Ed W (Old enough to remember when these were new to the "streets" & lost track of how many I've installed over the years...........) |

I attempted to use them but did not care for the results. Maybe with the new LED lights they would work better. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 01-13-2007 at 11:54 AM |
