Hi Guys I have a question for you. My dad has a 2002 gold prowler and it has pinstripe on it and he met some guy that told him that his car is very rare because of the pinstripe. He said that there were 20 gold cats pinstriped by some guy that helped designed the Ferrari. Any help would be great thanks.......... |

I have a gold that is pinstriped..It is my understanding that Dr Ru pinstriped some or all of the golds...He signed the strip on the deck lid, it is hard to read but with a magnifing glass you can read it... |

Yep, as we all see, each inca was striped and signed. It does show as an option (Customer preferred package 21A - Inca gold paint group, paint stripe upper body). Not that it matters too much but I think this was the only option available for the last year. http://www.automotive.com/2002/43/chrysler/prowler/reviews/lineup/index.html This message has been edited by dbudner on 01-10-2006 at 12:36 PM |

Thank you. I was already feeling very special here in The Netherlands but now I'm even feeling more special with my unique pin-striped and signed Inca. Best regards, Kees ------------------ |

In case you missed what Rich said... The Inca's were the only prowlers to be DOUBLE striped. Feel even more special now, Kees. |

There really were no options, per se, on any Prowler. Once they changed something it was a permanent change, there was an upcharge and they called it an option. Paint color, chrome rims, etc. You had no choice in reality, just paid more for the new improved version. |

So from what I'm getting from you guys is that ALL the gold cats were striped and signed by Dr.RU. My dads is signed on the rear deck very small very hard to read. Is there anyone who has a gold cat that is striped without the sig on the back deck??????? |

why are the prices blocked out?? Did all the cars that were striped have higher MSRP than the non striped??.....I know the Black Tie was an extra $3000, I think, and would assume the same for the Woodward as well. |

I can't remember what the difference was, not much like $600 or something, may not have been that. I just blacked out the price and VIN on a copy I keep with the car. |

dbudner, thanks for proving my point. Try to find a Gold Prowler that has A SINGLE THING different from your car. Once they changed, everyone got the same thing, including "the options". |

quote: I agree. Just saying that it lists as an option. Of course Mike has the only "optioned" car that matters. Doesn't make gold worth more or less. Just a line on the sheet that makes for a little more conversation. |

ALL INCA GOLD PROWLERS WERE DOUBLE STRIPED AND SIGNED BY DR RU. I GOT IT SOMEWHERE AT THE TIME I PURCHASED MY INCA GOLD, THAT JUST ONE (1) LEFT DETROIT UNDONE? ------------------ |
