Folks, I have made a serious mistake. One I hope I, or anyone else doesn't make again. I welcomed a new member that bought a 97 with a trailer back when he joined up about a year ago. At the time, he wasn't sure if he was going to keep the trailer or not. I emailed him and requested first shot should he decide to sell his trailer, and he said I would get first shot at buying it if he sold it. He then mentioned he might trade it off at some point instead, for a weekender and cash. I let him know that I had a very seldom used weekender that I could trade and thanked him for his consideration in advance. I patiently awaited word hoping he would decide to sell it. Well, he recently sold the trailer by posting it for sale here on the board, offering it up to anyone that met his price. I didn't see that thread until the trailer was already sold to someone else. I didn't feel it was right for me to then intercede in a done deal. That wouldn't have been fair to the guy that purchased the trailer in the sale. The seller has not said one word to me about this sale explaining why he went back on his word. I have had a couple other deals fall thru in the past, (price changes, item changes) but this one has me fuming, and in my haste, I ended up getting the names wrong and made some bad insinuations against The Phantom. I want to make it clear that The Phantom is NOT the member I was thinking of when I made my post against him. I hope that he, as well as the rest of you, can forgive me in my ranting error. I want to offer my most sincerest apologies to The Phantom for my false acusations against him. Now I'm not only mad at the intended, but I am also mad at myself for making this mistake. I think I'll quit while I'm... ahead? May clearer heads prevail. |

Mickey - upon further review of the POA RULES BOOK: Article 4 - Section 17A clearly states: "To error is human,,,,,,,to forgive,,is against POA policy!" You now have 2 POA strikes,,,,one for the incorrect Phantom post,,,the other for telling Larry Penn and I you knew how to get from Houston to Austin, and to follow you, lol. One more strike and you go up before the POA 3-vote expulsion clause to have your ISP number blocked out from the website.

quote: If my ISP gets blocked, I'll make sure the police find out what you did to that lady under the overpass on the way back to Austin. I've already told 'em where they can find her body. Mwwwaaaahahahahahaha Having written the policy yourself, you should be well aware that Article 7 - Section 13C Subsection IIb clearly states: "To drive your Prowler thru a Texas thunderstorm is barbaric,,,,,,,to follow another member into one,,is insane!" I gotta thank you both again for pulling me outta that one! I should have my cell phone with me on the next trip, and you can warn me of impending doom from afar. |

He is a gentlemen and I appreciate his "mea culpa." P.S. Your buying so many cars these days; I still have garage space available for you! Give me a chance to catch up !! |
