While driving, if I floor it a little, the car kicks down a gear and it takes a few seconds before it accelarates like it used to. Tried to put it in autostick.... works fine until I put it in 4th, it kicks it down to 3rd and keeps it there! Anyone heard of this before? What needs to be done? My car is still under warantee, just want to see if anyone experienced it before. Thanks |

I'm not really sure what the exact issue with the trans. is, but if still under warranty it would be prudent to schedule an appointment with the dealership for a test drive and diagnostic determination from a qualified technician! The Prowler transaxle is shared by multiple Chrysler vehicle lines, so a reputable dealer should be easy to find. Obvious items could be: Low trans fluid; weak control solenoids; clutches burning up; apply piston seals leaking; low trans. oil pump pressure; clogged trans. filter; even a 'sick engine' can create transmission issues. Others should chime in with additional information. Let us know what the final solution to your problem was please! |
