Al - if Dan included footage of all the various installs of superchargers and other things you went through you could have a full length movie! The twin turbos look strong. I hope we get to meet at an event sometime in the future! |

thanks guys--that was after an hour ride so the car was pretty heat soaked. ran it up to 125 on a down hill that day and the front end got REAL light over a slight bump at the bottom.I have no rear seal on the hood and with the louvered side panels, that shoots my under hood trapped air for front end lightness theory to hell. The wife wasn't impressed. I would love to make a drag event Marty, but not without more improvements. At the very least, fenders off and narrow wheels on the front. I have a set of extra front rims that I would like to get narrowed for the skinny look. Would kill the handling for sure. intercoolers and tuning for it would give me another 50 HP. |

Al, Car looks great! I know the amount of time and effort that you've been through to get where you are. Your path with two small turbos is the one that I always thought was the best approach. Think about this for a moment, 302 CID with big torque off idle and the turbos with intercooler and fresh air. The transaxle wouldn't stand a chance. Don't even think about a 3 to 4 WOT shift. Guaranteed toast of the overdrive clutch... TOO COOL!!!!!!!!! Again thanks for the boat. I smile everytime I see it in the garage. |

I don't know guys--unless Ida was yanking my chain, this engine made a ton of HP and torque with a third gear pull. Here's the graph at the end of the post. This was with race gas and no timing retard-16 lbs of boost. If you drove with your head, it might be possible to make the trans live as long as you didn't do the 4th gear slip slide. The point is that it held that power without breaking---ONCE. I did a 4th gear full power the other day and it shifted fine BTW...solid and crisp. I'm negotiating a deal that may allow me to take the Cat to the next step, $ wise...stroker and intercoolers. This will benefit you RPL--back into the RC boat business--have I got an engine for you! Not definite though. |

Al - you still running that much boost? If the power drops offs like the dyno chart shows at higher RPM's have you tried short shifting it at about 5600 to 5800 to see if you run faster times? I guess I need to read up more on turbos, I was surprised to see the drop off at higher RPM's, but you certainly ar making a LOT of power. The main thing is you're out driving it and having fun. That's cool! |

I'm running in the 12-13lb range now Marty. That was the best pass WITHOUT Aux fuel system to make the point of the torque the trans could hold. Probably ran out of fuel at the top end. Good thing I have blower pistons. Never got a chance to run that on the street. Here's another chart that shows where I'm at now--the 306HP reading.I've lost track of what the higher numbers on the chart were. Bob was comparing something.??? Might have been a fatter pass with the aux fuel system in place...less power then the above chart pass but at a safer place. |

that can't be the right chart--look at the rpm cut off on the low run. I must be the high HP run on the last read. I had all this stuff somewhere, but lost it when the puter I got from Sassy Mama crashed. Sitting down in my shop in need of a mother board. |

Awsome Job! Very nice packaging job! Car leaps off the line and launches straight and hard....only wish it had a locking differential! Seeing one tire go up in smoke is a bit sad. |

Q, sometimes it lights both tires. It used to on my favorite "patching street " in NY. The road wasn't as crowned as the one in the video. |
