I took an 01 or 00 kat on a test drive the other day from a local dealership. i couldn't help ut nitice that the seats which much softer than the seats in my kat. the leather was much softer and the seats seemed "cushyier". I sank right in. The seats appeared to be stock and had the kat logo. my kat is a 99 and the leather seems much thicker, stiffer, and not as much padding.

is there a difference in the seats from year to year?
is the only difference conditioners, dressings, etc?

I have both seen posts and personally seen different leather on some 99's. Jan's comes to mind as having thicker grained leather.

I noticed the seats in a 2002 were much softer and seemed better quality. Also, the leather on the seats, shifter boot, and steering wheel appeared to be lighter in color.
