This is my yearly post on the Forum. I check the board daily but I still own a Corvette and am patiently saving for a Prowler and don't like to butt in to your posts. It has to be in the top ten of the most fun cars to ever come out of Detroit. Ok, it's a 2 parter. Car shows, The Dell's, Niagra, Smokies and coming too and from events shouldn't really count and I know that city owners will have many more sightings than country people. If you know how many you have seen and when please post. The other part is an opinion. Does it seem like Prowlers are becoming more common on the roads?? Or maybe they are just now getting in the hands of people who want to drive them more and not leave them on shelves?? |

Ok, I'll start it off. In... I think that as prices have dropped the people who really like the car for the car are buying them and driving them. 5 years ago they were a lot more unacessable to the driving public. Yes, I am way too excited about Prowlers. I also know the states and colors that they all were. I have a disease. Until next year!! Brian <>< |

Brian - I would say out on the streets of Phoenix,,,,I might see a Prowler two or three times per 'month'. That's out of nearly four million souls with about 75 Prowler owners living here. I drove over 5,000 miles last month to the Dells and back, and NEVER seen a Prowler out on the road,,,,except within 25 miles from the event home base hotel. That is why you can SMILE every MILE. |

Locally I have only seen two Prowlers (other than mine and Gary Archer's) in the last year. On the road not counting POA people going to events I have seen two in the last year. That is in 30,000 miles of driving. Not very many sightings. I have seen more Ferraris & Rolls Royce in that time but only 2 Lamborginis and three Bentleys that I can remember. I guess we are in good company in terms of numbers of vehicles on the road. |

Come on Brian. You are late this year. You haven't posted since May 19 2004. Hope you got the job you wanted so you can get a BT real soon. I have owned a Prowler since Jan 2005 and have only seen 2 others driving around Dallas this year, other than the Blue Bonnet Run where there were 17 of us. But have met LOTS of great Prowler people because of this site. Before I bought mine, I would see 2 or 3 every night... But I was always sleeping. Go get your dream!! Come back more often. Brad |

I saw one about 2 months ago in Greensboro and caught up with it in the Corvette and just followed it for about 4 miles. Just fun to see people stop short, give thumbs up and take pictures of it, in a 4 mile span. I don't know how you couldn't smile driving around this car that is like art in motion. I like what someone had posted about a kid who commented on their Prowler. "It's a Matchbox Car for adults." How fun is that!! |

Hi neighbor! In the 3 years I've had mine I have seen 4 in Greensboro and 3 in Myrtle Beach. A yellow owned by Phil Barker was sold a few months ago and there is an orange in High Point and a Black in Greensboro in addition to my '02 yellow. Several months ago I saw a red on the street, but I haven't seen it since. I saw an orange and a black at Myrtle this summer and I saw a Mulholland blue during Bike Week in May of '04. |

In 3.5 yrs, I remember seeing 6. One of those is mine. 4 others were at dealerships. The only one on the road, I saw while in Ft Lauderdale. I would guess that the numbers on the roads would peak around now. By around 2010, I would expect a downward trend in the numbers on the road. |

We live here in So Cal. I see at least 2 or 3 a week. Seen 2 today a highly modified blue car in Chino Hills and a stock black car in Cypress. Summer seems to bring them out. Just not that rare of an occurance here. Also see one regularly over along the 5 freeway at a Nextel store in Cerritos and of course our purple 99 which I see daily. Lucky me. There were several at a car show in Diamond Bar a couple months back and probably 10 or more at a show at Seaport village in San Diego recently. |

I have seen a total of three Prowlers in Connecticut. A black one in Burlington, a candy in Bristol, and a yellow one on RT9 that I'm pretty certain belongs to Toys. Not many in this state. ------------------ |

Living in the city of the birthplace of the Prowler, we see Prowlers other than mine on occasion. I know there are many around, but they must not drive them very much. I saw probably about 70-75 of them this past weekend!! Common on the roads?? Even here in the Detroit area you don't seem them that often.......and I am always amazed how many people here (where they were produced) have never seen one at all or not up close. In cruising down Woodward this weekend, we had mostly very positive comments.........we made the radio stations several times, got lots of thumbs ups and lots of cheers!! |
