I got the paperwork for Black Tie #007 today and the car has been titled officially once by a dealership in Arizona and has been signed by 4 different car dealerships since. It has 2800 miles on it, and I'm the first person to own it apparently. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or how many cars you figure are out there owned by dealerships and not people? I guess it is easier for tax purposes to leave the car in the dealerships name...

Mine has kind of a strange start also. I guess some billionaire bought it new in DAllas Texas, paid cash. The story goes he buys about 5 to 10 new cars every year, just cause he can. He is a pretty big man, about 6'6" and 325lbs or so and found that it was too difficult to get in to, so he sold it off after only having it a month.
Then another fella outside of Dallas bought it form the dealer and took it home and started to enjoy it. I guess he got a promotion from a local director in his business to a regional director. I guess he was making lots of money but was never home so after over a year he had only put on 790 miles. He decided to sell since he did not have the time to enjoy it. Thats where I came in and bought it from him, 3rd owner with 790 miles on it What a deal, and I got a great price on it too.

Mine 2001 was purchased new buy a rich guy for his wife for Christmas. He brought it home from the dealer and parked it in the garage (35 Miles). The wife decided she wanted a Mercedes instead so he traded it in for a Mercedes. The dealer (Used Car) kept it in a garage with several other rare cars he had collected. He drove it a couple of times a year to visit his daughter. She moved further away and he decided it was to far for him to drive there in the Prowler. He put it on Cars.com. I bought it in April 2005 with 375 Miles on it. The car dealer that I purchased the car from was smart enough to have the rims replaced (all four) before the warranty expired. I know I paid to much for it but it is brand new and was well taken care of. It has 620 miles on it now.

Saw something posted here several weeks ago about Prowlers sitting in dealer showrooms still, the number was pretty high. There is one right here in Winchester VA, along side of it is a Viper, both are in the showroom with Not For Sale signs on them and both have several thousand miles on them.
Anyway you got one, now enjoy it on the road where it belongs, not in the garage!
