MY 99 was built 4/98 and is still starting perfect on the original battery. Seven years and counting! Anybody got me beat? |

Not me. I replaced the battery in my 99 last year before Texas just because of age. It would still start the car but was getting weak. |

feeebs, My 97 still has its original battery. My battery tender keeps it healthy while the kitty sleeps through the cold Winter months. |

I replaced my prowler battery with an optima yellow top But i'm still using My original Prowler Battery in my 1967 Buick LeSabre convertible and it's still as good as new, it also sits as long or longer as the prowler sometimes!! Toys |

I didn't realize they started the 99 run that early in the year. I thought there was more down time but I guess the aluminum engine was already in use in other cars. Learned something today. |

My battery died over the winter, but I hooked it up to a charger and it's been fine ever since. It's on '03 though, not a 99, that's awesome! This message has been edited by jmcant1 on 04-18-2005 at 02:56 PM |

I have a 99 with the original battery. I was having problems over the winter. After sitting for a week the battery was only be strong enough to make the starter click. Looking at the battery cables I could see why I was having problems. Plymouth put on cables with the cheesiest cable ends they could find. I replaced the negative cable and cut off the positive cable end and soldered a new solid end in its place. Now I had full contact with the battery posts. I let the car sit for three weeks, went to Scottsdale for a week, came home and the Prowler fired right up. It kicks over better than ever. |
