To all my Prowler friends I've met and have yet to meet. I am pleased to announce that WE WON! We won Best in Class at the 48th annual ISCA sanctioned World Of Wheels Custom Car Show at the Washington D.C. Convention Center. It was a win over some outrageously beautiful competition. It was a three day event. I now have a new respect for those of you that have done this type of thing before because there is more to it than I realized, building a display worthy of the Prowler, standing and answering lots of questions from very interested people and representing the Prowler community to the best of my ability. I however could not have done it without the never-ending help of my family. My Mother transported the display in her PT Cruiser and helped me set it up and greeted and conversed with the public. My girlfriend Betty Ann that was a constant source of inspiration and determination prior to and during this event. My sister Kimberley that just had foot surgery and refused to quit helping. Special thanks to my family and also to the great vendors on this site that helped make this dream a reality. GaryE,Bob Goetz,Jay and Nancy(people loved the Shimmers!),Tom Mills,Larry Lord,Speed Lingerie and Alley Cat for the Grill Treatment(gotta send that ten bucks lol) Special thanks to MeanGene that in the beginning of my Prowler experience answered more of my Prowler related question than any human should have to! The Washington World of Wheels has always been special to me and have attended it as a spectator for over 30 years. I never dreamed I would one day be in it, representing such a wonderful Community of Prowler Owners! Mike Krehel thanks for an outstanding web Club and also for the 11.65 ET that stifled any rumblings about not having a V8! Bob Miller it was great to meet you in person at the show. I always knew you were a great guy from reading your posts. Thanks for posting the picture!

Congrats Jeff. Now lets get the dust off your spotless prowler by driving to the Dells in July. Then you can tell us all about it. I would like to talk to you about what your display looked like and what you used in your display. |

That's a huge accomplishment, and you deserved to win Jeff! Your Kat and your display were spectacular, plus you were right near the entrance. All the other cars had to meet the standard you set. Great meeting you and Betty Ann and talking Prowlers for so long! |

Jeff, Congratulations on your win. I used to work for the company that managed ISCA and I am familiar with what it takes to win these shows! Great to see another Prowler win! |

SirReal, Congratulations on your win!!! I know just how tough the ISCA shows can be. I entered my Mustang a couple of times in the early 90's. Just curious...what class did they have you in? I bet the competition was stiff. The Boston World of Wheels unfortunately seems to keep slipping further and further downhill as the years go by. Was the DC show a 5A ISCA class show? Post pics please if you get a chance. Brian This message has been edited by TooHipCat on 03-07-2005 at 11:03 PM |
