If you have not called Marc Soltys at Bryden Motors in Beloit WI I would give it a shot.608 364 8880 He is the service manager and gets me all parts 10% over cost. I had to have the same part replaced (at a different dealership) when I got my prowler a few months back and it did take like 3 weeks. ------------------ |

I have already asked my Mopar contact about this issue and he confirmed that it is on backorder, but had no info as to when they would be restocked. |

I called newmoparparts this morning. You have to order online to get the discount. Their discount is 20% off list. There are better deals out there thru some of our other dealers advertising discounts on here. |

Kerry McManus emailed me that there are now 130 in stock. Buy them while they are hot and create an artificial demand. lol. |

They CAN be repaired.....the last one I repaired was for an owner in Fla. who shipped it to me. It had 4 breaks in diff. areas. He says it works perfectly. Email me pics and I'll let you know if it can or can not. I still plan on fixing mickey's and photo the process. Its just a matter of finding the time and his is still working form his fix and not a rush. Koz |

Great idea to photograph the process and post it on the Prowler Tech Journal Section of the POA with details on the procedures. Like Dan Pena did on the Tire Replacement and Air Sensor stuff. Looking forward to it.........

Jan, what product did you use? I use the Dura-mix 4247. for the guys/gals replacing the regulator new, I would recomend going ahead and reinforcing the areas in the pics above. I think jan has had to replace 3 or more regulators. I know I need to post my fix for everyone to see but I have been soooo busy. Things are starting to settle down now and If I can keep my son from putting powersteering in his brake booster, I would have a lot more free time!!!! LOL Koz |

there are a couple products you can use,3m-structural adhesive-devcon plastic repair epoxy.duramix also.all are available at autobody supply stores, some at home depot.most important thing is repair area is roughed up and clean, also use fiberglass cloth,to imbed in epoxy before it dries, you will have to work fast.its a long lasting repair.beats buying new regs at 250.00 t0 300.00 per reg.mines had 6 regs so far.if you install a new one ,i would reinforce before installing. ------------------ This message has been edited by jan bruggeman on 10-13-2004 at 10:21 AM |

Mine wasn't broken on the ends, but broke in the middle of the cable cover (out in the open part). |
