I just spent last weekend at Hot Aug. Nites with my 2 sons and a close family friend. I took my prowler, of course, even though I couldn't enter the formal program or be in the official parades. We had a blast!! There were A LOT of cars and people there to say the least. Some really beautiful and wild cars that had many hours and much money lavishly spent on them. I even found several that I truly would like to own(only a few) but I don't think I would trade them my "midnite" for them. After over 4 years of ownership and the involvement I've had with this car and the people that own them I just don'e see how I could "move on" to another marque! Moreover, I think I got as much attention and admiration as any vehicle on display there. I couldn't go or stop anywhere and not get countless pic's taken, all the normal questions, and just wonderful smiles from everyone. The problem was that I was the only one there with a Prowler as far as I could tell. WHARE THE HELL WERE THE REST OF YOU !!!!!!!!!! I even got a ringside seat-Including. my Kat at the Sparks parade(and am set up to do this next year too) There are ways to display the prowlers at an event like this and it needs to be done. There rules are that no veh. past '72 can enter the formal program (which was sold out those year about the time last years event ended-only 5000 can be in it). This is the biggest car show in the Western United States and we should definitely be in attendance. We need to be a force within the car show/display seen. If you folks want to see these vehicles go up in value and truly see these become valuable collector vehicles this really needs to be done otherwise we could easily just become another orphan's like the BMW Issita or the Nash metropolitan. There "cute" but that's not what the Prowler is all about. If I have to do this all by myself I'll do it but I'd really like some company. I'm willing to try to set up something next year so the prowlers can have some sort of a corral at this event-I think it can be done and I think it would be really fitting to have our own "thing" at this large event. Yes, it would be a thorn in there side, but I think it could be done as a real class act and it definitely needs to be done. If anyone is interested in doing this please contact me. Scott Curtis(obi-wan) 650-967-3609 or e-mail me too. |

Regarding the topic of not seeing many Prowlers. I was at the local Chrysler Jeep Dealership having some warranty work done. The cashier says: “I remember you because of your Prowler… there only like 3 of you…!” Then as I walked outside where the Prowler had been pulled forward waiting for me. A group of Chrysler Sales staff are standing around the Prowler taking pictures of each other with a camera phone. Of all people… the Sales guys…. Amazing The Prowler is one special vehicle… even in a city of 3 million people - Kcat |

Hey ObiWan and all in Prow'land.. I posted a couple of "Let's hook at Hot August Nites".. but no responses esp. from the NorCal bunch. Indeed, Reno/Sparks was a sea of hot rods, roadsters, classics, etc. Many car enthusiasts' polls rate Hot August Nights as the top hot rod show in the U.S. This year, all 5000 slots were sold out and apparently had over 2700 cars in the waiting list. HAN 2005 is sold out as well. We were there and saw 2 Prowlers on the Sparks Wednesday nite cruise. Apparently, many area cruises will welcome Prowlers. At first I wasn't aware of this so I did not bring my Cal "222COOL" blue molly. One event was: Aug 5, Reno,NV, Reno Mopars Knights @ Coach’s Sports Bar. There was even a big cruise event at nearby Tahoe. As ObiWan stated; "I'm willing to try to set up something next year so the prowlers can have some sort of a corral". Meanwhile, THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS U.S. CLASIC CAR SHOW EVENT IS COMING UP this week, the Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegance at Monterey Peninsula. There are many outside events where the Prowlers sure can cruise & delight the So let's hook up this weekend at "our" backyard event. ObiWan..u going? JD, MikeK, Phil, Jane, Dick, Curtis, Diane, Jack, GaryC, JimC, BillG, BobH, JoelC & NorCal bunch? Hey LarryL & SoCal bunch is just across the big hill from y'all. This Friday afternoon will have the big Pacific Grove cruise parade around the area. See complete events at: http://www.montereyherald.com/mld/mcherald/entertainment/9350061.htm |

I was watching TV last weekend and they had the show on Route 66...don't remember the name of the town. I seen one prowler cruising and one parked on the short clip they showed. I'm sure it was taped and probably from last year |

Koastal Cat.......seems amazing, doesn't it. Remember though, that ONLY Plymouth dealers received Prowlers and not every Plymouth dealer got one. ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |
