A former co-worker of mine stopped by work the other day and gave me some old car mags he thought I'd be interested in. I looked at the covers on them and then one caught my eye...a purple Prowler! Then I looked at the date...1993! What a cool article about the Prowler! Sounds like they were in the planning stages for quite a while with it, considering it wouldn't be another 4 years for the car to reach production. I found it interesting that several times they mentioned that they weren't sure if the Prowler was going to actually be built. BTW, it's the August 1993 Car & Driver. Nice writeup! Yes...that was a great write up in Car and Driver. There are several features described in August 1993 magazine that did not make it to production.

There were actually a lot of articles and covers on Prowler since 1993, which is cool. I went through all my husband's car magazines (which he has saved and moved since the early 60's) and I found over 100 magazines that contained articles/covers. It's a cool collection of media.  |
