There are a lot of events in California. Most of the state is active year 'round. Larry Lord has an event every couple of weeks, it seems like. I live too far away or I would take part in some of them. Larry does a great job of organizing events.

CA is a 3 to 4 day Drive for me. I would have to use all of my vacation for this one event. I will never be able to make a CA event.

I would loveto make a California event in my car but it will have to wait a couple of years when we can schedule two or three weeks vacation together and make it a worth while trip.

I , like most of the others who have posted, would not be able to make a Cali event yet. Most of us on the left coast found that Texas was a long drive, ( 3 days ) and I know it is also hard for the West Coast guys and gals to make it to the our side of the world. It would take a lot of preplanning for most of us several years in advance. I have made the drive to LA, many times when I had my boat business. It is a 5 day trip from here . That's 10 days of travel time.

I can't believe these responses. You want us CA people, especially NOR CAL, OR, and WA to come out to your places. Well, it works both ways. That is, unless, you don't like states that have cruising over 325 days a year. Sheeze,,,

As a alternative, I, along with others are hoping for a Yellowstone event in 2005.

I would go along with a 2005 National Prowler Yellowstone event (U.S.-Canada combo). I've been there three or times before, and found that June can still have real wet grounds after a late snow melt. July is perfect, but it is hard for many to escape work or family around the 4th holiday. Whatever,,,,,,we will do are best to attend.

I for one would love to go to a California event. I'm flying into Texas for 5 days in Sept to attend the VOI #8 (Viper owners Invitational)I'm having the car transported to Texas and back. It will be there waiting for me. I would do the same thing for my kat. If you get 6 guys together on the east coast who live close to each other i'm sure you could get a decent price. I should have done it for this years Texas stampede. I'll see a lot of you in Canada the end of July!

Hey Larry, yes it is very close. The Prowler has much more curves in it to show it off more. In fact, when I first saw the truck while waiting for my car to get painted I was afraid I was going to be disappointed as the truck lines do not really compliment that paint scheme. I feel comfortable saying you really need to see the car to appreciate what it does.
SWEET is a great description, lol ,, one of a kind.

Come to California! San Diego was hit with a 5.2 earthquake at 3:30 this afternoon. I learned how quickly I can exit a high rise. At home we lost two wine glasses but everyone made it through just fine. But most importantly, the Kat did not get a scratch! Just makes life interesting!

I agree with JD, Yellowstone event in 2005.

Wisconsin Dells is nice, but been there many times, but if the choice is there, I'll be there.

John - it is hard for California (and other West Coast) Prowlers to make it to East Coast events or even some events in the middle of the country. It is the same for getting there. Believe me, if Rebecca hadn't of just started a new job and only gets one week vacation next year (she negotiated a week off without pay for Woodward this year), we would the first to head that way.

Regardless of whether it's a "National" POA event, we plan to drive our car out to visit sometime in the next few years.

Yellowstone would be a little closer than Lake Tahoe for those coming from the East, but for us either one would make for a GREAT three day drive. Getting there is all part of the fun for us.

If I could just win the lottery and not worry about work.....

See you in Detroit in August.

AC have a great idea, Yellowstone in 2005, the Grand Teton and Jackson Hole at the same times I will feed everyone with Idaho Potatoes.

We live 2-1/2 hours from West Yellowstone, if I can help please let me know.

I would consider California, but next year we will be adding on to the house (and garage) so I don't think we will be going anywhere except on weekends until construction is complete.

B]

I think this is a very good idea.
Due to the summer crowds, slow speed limits, 2 lane roads, slow moving traffic and few places to stay inside tha park, I would recommend staying anywhere other than in Yellowstone Park itself.

Jackson or Cody would be my suggestions as a base for the event. Hotel rates will be much higher in Jackson than in Cody. Cody has the Western Heritage Museum and everyone in town was exceptionally friendly when we stayed there on our way back from Crazy Horse. Jackson is closer to the Tetons, Yellowstone and is more scenic.

If someone wants to step up and take over the planning for this event, I'll do whatever I can to help out.
I know that JD and CJ have talked about planning an event in this area. I don't want to intrude on their plans but I'll plan this event if nobody else decides to do it.
An event date would be a great first step so that others can plan events around it and eliminate conflicting events in other areas.

The Fourth of July week 2005 is my choice for a date as we can use the hoilday to gain some time off work for the trip.
No matter what date is decided for a national event, I will be planning an event for the Fourth of July week 2005.

If needed, and if a Yellowstone event is planned by someone else for the Fourth of July week, I'll postpone or cancel the 2005 Yellowstone or Lake Tahoe events that I've been working on.

Hey Larry,,

CJ, Phil, and a few others have talked about it. There is also a member who's name I won't mention because he has not completely committed to help as yet, who grew up in that area and has spent many years in and around that area. Personally I have never been there, and would like to see it. I do not know how bad or crowded it could be. But if you are serious about it, contact the above mentioned names and see how far they have gotten.

Rich, say anything you friggen want to. I got no problem crusin solo or in small packs. One reason I am going to Woodward is to ALL TYPES of cars to cruise with. The POA so call national events get along great without many people from the west coast showing up. Don't get me wrong, if I could have gone I probably would have.

I just find it ironic that's all.

Marty, Marc and I have decided to drive to Woodward instead of haul the cars. Stock gears will be in, and you know what?? nah,, I'll tell ya later,, lol. Or maybe show ya.

I wish I won the lottery also, just a working stiff here.

I think Yellowstone would be fun, but if all crowds then posibly not.
