I would like to thank Phil, Jane, and all that attended the 21 April Shenandoah Valley Cruise. It was the first POA function that Doreen and I have attended. We couldn't have had a better day. We seen a lot of beautiful places, and met a lot of great people. We are looking forward to future events, and sharing the moments with the great people of the POA Roger, and Doreen |

We had a great time with great people. Gary Myers even wrote a trip report: Gems in the Foothills From a distance it looked like a necklace of colored gems draped across Mother Nature’s dress of spring greenery. These gems moved, as if on a long, stringed necklace, over the green foothills, down the valleys and through the groves of oak and pine trees. As the parade of gems came closer, the individual gems were brightly colored plastic and metal shapes---and what beautiful shapes they were! They were low and sleek with narrow, wind piercing noses and with wide rear stances. As the shapes came nearer, one could hear a low growl emanating from deep inside each gem. Viper DNA must have contributed to that sound…did they come from the same Mother (factory)? As the gems passed by a group of spectators, one could just see the heads and faces of the passengers above the high beltline. They were all smiling! These passengers were obviously being transported by their out-of-this-world capsules to a better life. Quick as a wink, the string of gems was gone, over the next hill, leaving just a rustling of leaves and grins on the faces on the bystanders. The jewelers who put this display of gems together were Phil and Jane Horvath. After a long absence, they scoped out a route and sent emails out to the collected throng. What a crew responded—18 Prowlers and another P-car. They all gathered over coffee and chatter to get reacquainted and look over the enhancements to the gems that each had made---from Scott’s Lambo doors to Steve’s flames, to many wonderbars, much chrome and striping. This happy crew of gem owners and passengers met on Saturday morning April 21, 2007, in Folsom ready to take on the curves that the tourmiesters had devised for them. Phil and Jane had prepared a great cruise route, and they even got the weather to cooperate. Via the back roads in the foothills, we went through the gold rush towns of Sutter Creek and Jackson to a ghost town of Volcano for our first stop. True to its name, laughter erupted as the passengers spilled from their gems after this the first leg of the cruise. Next P&J let us over Daffodil Hill, through Fiddletown to the Bella Piazza Winery. In the Bella Piazza parking lot there were other automotive jewels—a fleet of new Thunderbirds, a few limos with celebrities and other assorted jewels. But none shone as brightly as our gems. Over the hill to Placerville, we then took US50 to lunch at Lolita’s Mexican restaurant in Folsom. Lunch was full of rowdy conversation. Yes, it was a memorable cruise and many thanks to Phil and Jane, who may be moving to Florida, if their house sells. We will really miss them. But as has been said before---the cars are great…but the people make the experience wonderful. Looking forward to our next cruise. This message has been edited by CA Phil on 04-23-2007 at 03:55 PM |

Here are a couple of pictures to go along with Gary's Story. Thanks again to Phil and Jane for setting up the event. Met a lot of nice people but didn't get to meet everyone. We must have given alot of stiff necks from all the head turnin. Nothin but smiles all day long...... When's the next prowler meet/event? Is the Half moon bay show still going on? Maybe someone could chime in this.

I almost showed up for this event. I bought the Orange Prowler in Sacramento on Friday. I was going to hang around until Sat. to meet up with you guys but decided to head for home. I should have stayed and missed the snow and sand on top of the mountains. |

Hello to all in Prowler land!! As pleasingly pictured by NorCalCat and creatively narrated by Gary M, the Gold country-Sierra foothills sojourn by Tour meister extraordinaires Phil & Jane was a blast. And I missed it due to a flu bug. Next fun fling... This Sunday at the scenic coastline of Half Moon Bay CA with forecast temps in the 80's. Group entry or on site cat gathering is not planned as of now. Any ideas Scott??? See y'all! +++++++++ A massive, awe-inspiring showcase of 2,000 driving, flying, and working machines headlined by military aviation marvels, rare automobiles and motorcycles and “World Record Wonderland” highlight the 16th Annual Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show, Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Half Moon Bay Airport. |

Phil, I was just going to pull up on Sat. After I got there Friday about Noon and it was a nice day I decided I would start my trek home. In retrospect I should have stayed over. |
