Since I have absolute zero mechanical ability and my age and shape won't allow crawling around on the ground, can someone recommend a reputable place in the Seattle area for me to get a trailer hitch installed? Will the Prowler only take the hitch that is designed for it or can any good shop design and install a hitch? I'm not so sure I trust any of the dealerships in the Seattle area but would trust the advice from this group. |

Cant recommend a place in Seattle to install a Hitch but in my opinion, you would be much better off installing an original Factory Hitch rather than having someone make one up for you. The Factory Hitch is engineered specifically for the Prowler and as such will fit properly and distribute the weight accordingly. It fits in near the Trans Cooler Fan, faces up to the Frame and behind the Bumpers like a generic wouldnt do. I'll bet you can get a Factory Hitch installed for around $100.00, maybe less if they know what they are doing. Drive on over to my house and you and I can do it for free! |

Wally, Contact Marvin. He will help you. I think he has torn his prowler completely apart and put it back together at least 3 times. The Prowler Store has the trailer hitches in stock, but I would check with DC first to see if any one has one available. I would never consider putting anything other than factory hitch on the car. Also did you know that there is a NW Prowler Group that has runs every month. Last weekend was our first run in LaConner, WA. Had a blast. I think we had 10 cars with no duplicate colors. the website info is: www.nwprowlers.org Good luck. Steve |

The Prowler Store is WAY too high on the hitches. Go to www.moparsupercenter.com for the best deal. Mopar Super Center • 800-456-5337 This message has been edited by Larry Lord on 04-23-2007 at 01:26 AM |
