Before the purchase did you check this guy's feedback? That will usually give you some clue as to what the individual is like. I have had very few problems with e-bay or paypal, for that matter. But with both services, I can say that they have never resolved a problem to my satisfaction. I guess its just a "buyer beware" system. |

Hope you get your bucks back. Not a good excuse, but maybe he didn't know about the broken reflector if he wasn't familiar with the part.If he has good feedback, he will probably return with a full refund so he wont jeopardize himself. If it was me,I would eat the shipping to get my bucks back and call it a lesson learned. |

File an eBay fraud alert. That will freeze his eBay and PayPal accounts until the situation is resolved. |

Wanna post his email and ebay ID ? Nothing better to do than to subscribe him to 1000 copies of The Book of Mormon. Hell, we can send him a Trial subscription of Playboy, Hustler, etc. = trouble with wife, then we can get mean.... Hate getting ripped off, but revenge usually makes the pain go away !! I got ripped off last month on a flame shirt I was buying for the stampede. Feedback was good. Seller was in Canada. I got a flameless flame shirt that was significantly different than the ad. I emailed seller who stated it is the exact same shirt as the ad. I emailed them back with pics of their ad and what was sent. Got no reply. Sent same 2 more times with no reply. I called credit card company to dispute charge and was told they would have no problem doing that, but that if I did it without going thru paypal or ebay first, I could jeopardize my own account. Paid by paypal. Read ebay and paypal solutions and ebay said I could only file claim thru one or the other, but not both. Ebay's solutions were confusing. Called paypal on phone and they told me what I needed to do, and emailed me step by step instructions. I called back and asked about their solution as it said it was for items not shipped, not for items misrepresented. They assured me that was the procedure I needed to follow, so I filed my claim. After 29 days of sale go by, paypal says they can't do anything because it wasn't for item not shipped, but that I could file thru ebay. Live chat with ebay told me which way I had to file with them, knowing I had only 1 day left to file within their deadline. So I immediately filed a claim with ebay. Since the sale ended under $25, they regretted not being able to intervene, but told me I had 2 other choices... file thru ebay Square Trade, or file a fraud alert. Well, I only had 30 days after sale to file thru Square Trade, so that was out. Filing a fraud alert MIGHT get me a partial refund for a $25 fee. My only other resort was to dispute the charge on my credit card. I called them back and disputed the charge. They took my info to send to paypal to ask for a refund. If paypal gets me a refund, I will have to pay to ship shirt back to seller, trackable mail, at my cost, and no guarantee I will get a refund after sending it back. Seller continues to sell the same shirts. We'll see what happens, but I'll be damned if I'll pay for the shirt either way. Should I leave negative feedback? I have no doubt I'll get negative back, even tho I paid within minutes of end of auction, and I'm just trying to get feedback built up. Only at 12 now. |

I've bought 2 prowlers, a Jaguar XKR, and a Viper using Ebay! Over 400 Transactions! A few problems! Only with small $$$$ amount items. My personal policy is if its under $50 to ask for my money back. If not i just walk away, give negative feedback! Its only happened a few times! Use the Feedback ratings as a gauge if your not sure. See what they sell and buy and how much $$$$. I use American Express to Pay my Paypal Account. If i have any problems American Express will help me out! No Feedback on ebay stay away! Jan, There are timeframes that eBay must act under. This takes time. not days, more like weeks or months. These are not instantaneous. Just as sure as you are about thinking this guy is a crook, eBay doesn't know that and has to consider the fact you are the real crook possibly. You can leave him negative feedback but, keep in mind, he can do likewise to you too. *** for tat. Also, if you start signing him up for bizarre things with his email address, keep in mind, he has yours and can do likewise. I'd suggest cooling your jets and waiting a few weeks to see if you can work it out. Perhaps he truly is busy. You are assuming he's lying and is not. Just a thought! |

Jan- Dont get discouraged. There are a lot of people on eBay selling Prowler Parts that are good guys. Dont let one bad apple ruin it for you. From your description of the transaction it sounds like you did all you could do. Go ahead and leave negative feedback and hope for the best. If you let that guy get away with it and dont leave feedback he may sc*** somebody else that wouldnt have any idea what a cheat he is. I've done a lot of transactions on eBay and left negative feedback only 2 times. I didnt get negative feedback back, just none at all. Also, did you know there is a way to request his phone number from eBay so you could call him? Sometimes if they know you are serious enough to track down their phone number and actually call them, the attitude changes. Worked for me in the past... All this is just one man's opinion.. Good luck, Buddy. ------------------ |

I've only had three negative instances in the last four years on eBay. One, eBay kicked the guy out forever, and the other two they immediately froze their accounts until the issues were settled and I informed eBay they could un-freeze the accounts. In all three instances Fraud Alerts were filed by me, and in two instances I informed my credit card company. The credit card company dropped the charges against my account within a matter of days. In the two instances where eBay allowed the other person back on, it was only after I assured them (eBay) that I was satisfied with the resolution. In both of these instances the other person was whinning almost immediately because their account had been frozen. Maybe it was a fluke, but it worked out great for me. |

idive- As far as leaving negative feedback, I suggest the following: If memory serves me correctly, you can leave feedback for up to 30 days, and the time counts down as the auctions do. Wait until the very last day, to the very last minute, and then blast him. Chances are he will not be on the computer at that very moment, and thus cannot return negative feedback on you... If you have his phone or name and address, you may consider that he may be in need of some spiritual guidence, and might benefit from receiving mailed booklets or telephone calls from every church on the planet... Like I've said before; Getting screwed sucks, but getting even almost makes it worth it. Good luck Dr. Mike ------------------ "Dali" is Dr. Mike & Mrs. "Jo-Jo" S. near Dallas, Tx. I wish I knew about the 30 days to leave feedback rule or I would have done exactly that. Unfortunately that deadline has passed. I DO however have 5 other email boxes that ebay and paypal don't know about and therefore can't take action against my account for letting other buyers of this guy's shirts know what a rip-off he is. |

My son buys and sells a lot of record albums on ebay. He has had a few problems and has gotten pretty good resolution from ebay. He will leave negative feedback, but he waits until the very last minute possible to post it, so that the offender doesn't have time to leave any back. |

I am one of few people to catch a ebay fraud!. My wife wanted Springsteen tickets for Atlantic City and where sold out in minutes. She went to ebay and found a pair.[DON'T ASK THE PRICE] Anyway this scum sold about 7 people tickets from different parts of the country. We contacted a few that got scammed[ the scum never had tickets to sell] and tracked her down to make a long story short. She was a stupid college student in Ill. that even sent us mocking emails on how stupid we were and will never find her. Well a women that got scammed used some info the stupd criminal had given us and caught her. Ebay does not want to get involved even since we got her. The criminal sends some money towards restitution, but we want to hang her. we are flying out to testify when it finally goes to trial. She pleads not guilty |
