I called an out of state dealer to inquire about a new Deep Candy Red Prowler. I told the switchboard operator I wanted to talk to a salesman or the sales manager about the Candy Red Prowler and she replied, "We don't have a Prowler, this is a Chrysler dealer" I told her I was inquiring about a CHRYSLER Prowler and she said they did have a Crossfire. Called another dealer, told the salesman I was interested in the Deep Candy Red Prowler and he replied, "That Red Prowler is Mrs. (Dealer's name) personal car but we do have a mahogany colored one on the floor". I swear that both of those conversations occurred. Unreal. |

Volume 2. I lost my cable for the computer but not the TV everytime it rains. I would call and they come to the house and confirm that the problem is up on the pole. This occurred 4 or 5 times. I called Tue. evening and they told me they would be out in the morning. I got off the phone and noticed a flashing light out front. The cable company was across the street since they lost all their TV channels when it rains and have called 4 or 5 times. Thursday they came out and installed all new cable the entire length of the street. Everything was working great until it rained hard in the afternoon and I lost the RoadRunnr again. When I called they explained that they could not come out while it was raining since water could get in the system and short out the connection. I explained that I thought that might be the problem already, since it shorted out everytime it has rained hard in the past 4 months. The rain was causing the problem but they couldn't work on it in the rain or I would lose the connection I didn't have, I guess. Hopefully it is fixed. People are nuts. |

ED RE: Vol.1) All a car salesman has to learn is a few facts about a few cars. I find 90% of all car salesman know nothing about the cars they sell! All they learn is sales tactics! It is past pathetic, and I am shocked dealers don't train their salespeople about the product they sell. ugh. Vol 2) Cable always seems to drown for some reason. My friends always lose their cable modem when it rains...The funny thing is that the only edge the cable companies claim over sattelite TV is that you don't lose signal when it rains! Ironically, I never lose signal with my Dish even in the heaviest rain! :D |

Threads like this always give me a chuckle and remind me of the ones I've encountered with this car. 1) We only have the convertible prowlers left; All were stated by sales reps at Plymouth or Chrysler dealers. I even argued about #2 with the GM of a dealership who assured me there was no such vehicle. |

story one.... in a local DC dealer a few weeks ago, they want to sell me a Crossfire, I said no but I knew somebody that might be interested....asked the salesboy what the "greenslip" was on the unit.....he said the Crossfires were not being "greenslipped"....I knew they were.....the salesmanager ASSURED ME there were no deals on the car because they were so popular(they still had their first two cars, sat on them for several months)....a few days later the owner called me to say the cars were available on "greenslip" if I wanted one.....shame when the customers know more about the product than the dealers and salesboys .... story two.... I was in sales most of my life in various forms, always found product knowledge was NUMBER ONE when selling something..... |
