Any prowlers interested in forming a catavan from the Midwest? I know it's a little early, but... with the reservation post up now, it's time to make plans. Eleanor & I will be leaving central Wisconsin on Saturday prior, with an overnight stay somewhere down I-55 and then arriving Sunday in Austin.... Anyone else? ....
Two possible routes... down I-35 through Iowa Kansas Okla... or (my personal 'preferred route to Texas)... down to St Louis, Memphis, Little Rock, Dallas, Austin... I think we are most likely to get the best response from the latter.... Going with that.... and either route actually, we will leave Saturday about 7 AM, probably around 2PM'ish or so in the St Louis area, with an overnight in the Memphis area.... a solid 12 hours each day for two days....690 miles each day... Leaving out at 7AM Sunday morning would put us at Little Rock around 9:15 AM, Dallas around 2:30 PM and at the Lakeway about 7PM Sunday evening..which in the summertime in Texas should still be able to catch that beautiful sunset on Lake Travis! Still early enough to modify.... but that's our current 'plan'
