to get my Prowler from L.A. to Palm Springs (I know, it's not far, but it's a long story....).

Does anyone know of a company that is reasonable and uses an enclosed trailer???

If so, please flow me the info.

Thanks!

I bought my prowler off a guy just outside of Austin Texas and I Live in Denver. Went through several contractors and found a fella that did a great job. He has trailers that are custom made to just carry 3 cars. (no one on top of yours) he used Nylon belts to secure with and drove almost straight through from Texas to me so I did not have to wait to get my Prowler. He was the best and his price was real reasonable. Jerry Manson at Pro-Team Logistics, Inc. Office(956) 447-3818 or Cell (417) 425-6772. Tell him Phil in Denver says hi.

George C may be able to help you out or Julie and I can take it from the Cruisin' for a Cure to Palm Springs after the event but I'll need to drive it.

Don,

I have a guy based out of Costa Mesa w/a 1-car enclosed trailer. Call me and I can give you the info. I don't know his pricing, but I can find out before you call me. I have know this guy for 25 years and he hauls many of vehicles for our Camera Ready Cars division here at Metalcrafters. He is super and will treat your car like it was his own. Very dependable and the best equipment.

I can be reached at 714 444-2000 ext 460. leave a message if I am not at my desk and I'll call you back within 30 minutes.

PS - What is the date you need it moved????

Thanks to all who have replied (except for Larry Lord, who thinks I might let him drive my car to Palm Springs...LOL!!!).

I am giving up on finding an affordable hauler - I have called about 30 companies, and the cheapest quote I have gotten is $350.00, one way, for the whopping 120 mile trip!!!!!

I am now considering changing careers to become an auto transport specialist!!!

The reason for the short haul was to avoid the high winds and blowing sand near Cabezon. I seem to recall hearing from one POA member that they lost their paint job there, and I have driven it enough to know that is a real possiblity on any given day.

Given the prohibitive cost, I am now thinking of driving the Prowler out in the middle of the night, or finding an alternate route that avoids the "wind tunnel".

Again, thanks to all!!!
