Jerry from Gillman Dodge in Rosenburg Texas just called to tell me my trailer just came in!!!!! They are going to leave it in the shipping crate so I can bring it back home, and I'll drop it off at Apple Motors in Brenham to have it assembled and the Mulholland Pin Stripe painted on. Finally, but I'm not complaining. They said it was one of three left when I ordered! Thank's CJ - I would not have had the opportunity if not for your efforts! (You too Fred for getting me in touch with Jerry) ------------------ |

Excellent - Congrats! I'm looking to have the 3M clear bra film installed on the front so I don't have to hassel with the regular bra. The dealer is going to show me that tomorrow. ------------------ |

Hey Randall: congrats on the trailer, but not much to put together just remove two bolts and then rool it off the crate then one bolt holding the shipping stand in place, then remove the tung from inside the trailer and install it in the front and put in to bolts to hold it in place and plug in one wire connector, is very easy to do if they are going to charge you to do that good luck and happry trailering curtis ------------------ |

The dealer just called and my Candy Apple is in. Does anyone know the dimensions and weight of the trailer in the shipping crate? I am planning on trailering it home in the crate and assembling it there. Thanks! Tom |

Thanks guys - it looks great! I dropped it off at Apple motors for the pinstripe and should have it back soon. I can't wait to get it out to the next show. Jerry at Gillman said that he had a couple of Ball Joint kits in stock - and their Prowler Tech is ready to put them on. He also said that Rear Rims are on backorder again, but if you need rims replaced, come talk to them. ------------------ |

Tom: the shipping invoice when mine got here to the dealership where I work showed 640 lbs, I know the trailer its self is 386 lbs. Not sure of the crate size but will sit on top of a pick-up bed and span it by a few inches on either side. Hope this helps you block-buster |

The crate was HUGE!!! I went down there with a sixteen foot trailer (yes painted to match the King Ranch Pickup) that is 75 inches wide, and we had to take the top part of the crate off to get it to slide inside the trailer bed. The crate was 78 inches square until we took it apart. Afterwards, it barely squeezed in. Took five of us to load and unload, but just because it was so bulky and fit so tight in the trailer bed. I left it on the bottom part of the crate so that it didn't get knocked around while getting the pinstripe painted on. I didn't want them rolling it around the shop. I looked up "automotive protective film" and it gave me some choices for the 8mil 3M film. The dealer it listed in Houston said he has the correct stock to do the entire front with one piece from side marker lamp to side marker lamp, no seams, and the fenders. I think he quoted $245.00, but I'm going to work on him a little on the price!! I don't have the link right now, but using that for a search should get you in the right place. I will post some pics next week! ------------------ |

...makes me wonder if the trailers, as rare as they are, will become more valuable than the Prowler itself....LOL. |

ALL NEW TRAILER OWNERS Check the bolts on the latch and wheels to make sure they are tight. Then check the lock to see if the nut is tight. ORDER the Larry Lord latch kit is a MUST in my opinion too. There have been several break and the deck lid open going down the interstate and you will not know it right away......we don't want to see your undies scattered down the road........LOL if space is a problem the Larry Lord trailer stand allows you to stand it up and it will only take up a space about 5'X3' practice backing this thing up. THEY TURN QUICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
