Right front fender cracked on the inside, just below the lower bracket. Not sure if caused by impact or vibration. Any others had this experience? Is it a fiberglass patch and repaint or a new fender? How much are they? Thanks for any help. |

Dennis, Welcome to the POA. I can't offer any advice but I do not think it is a common problem. Any chance something was on the road and flew up and hit it? I think they are about $ 750 each at the dealer, but I am not sure since I have not priced them. Give it a few days and you will get some advice. A lot of people are probably travelling on the holiday week-end and might not be checking in here. ------------------ |

Hi Dennis! I just replaced my right front fender because the braket was bent. (I don't know how, there are only very minor scratches on the paint, no other damage) The replacement cost $750. Plus paint job. Plus new flaps since the bent bracket caused the fender to drag and get scratched. If you want, we could get together sometime and I could show you the fender. I'll make you a deal if you are interested in putting this fender on your brackets. Doug |

One of two things may have happened. Someone might have sat down on the fender. Or, more likely. If you have mudflaps, or if sometime in the past it had mudflaps, it may have backed over something. I backed over a low edge of concrete about 1 and a half inches tall. My mudflap caught between the tire and the concrete. As I backed up it pulled the fender down under the tire. When I pulled back forward the fender sprang back up part way. It cracked the paint around the brackets, but didn't damage the fender. The brackets were out of alignment and we readjusted them. You might check more closely to see that the damage is only to the paint, and not to the fender itself. |

I had a small 1" long crack in my rear fender, right along the lip of the fender. The dealer's body shop filed it down, patched it up, and it's as good as new. My first instinct was to ask for a whole new fender, but I'd rather have a Kat with no major body work. |
