its hard to see with the top up or down. It seems that the top of the frame is in the perfect place to get in the way. either have to lean back or look under it. |

Hollywood took the words right out of my mouth. It doesn't seem to matter if the top is UP or DOWN. I still cannot see the traffic light without ducking down or lifting up. |

Always ducking to see the lights. I think CJ might be the only one who doesn't have to duck |

What stop lights? There are stop lights in Texas? I've never seen them, especially when I'm in the Kat, top up or down. I like the way folks look at you when your trying to get in a position to where you can see the signal. It's like "what in the world is he looking at?" Pretty funny to me! Oh, and by the way, I did drive the Mulholland to work today and it's getting close to quitting time! ------------------ |

I've kinda learned to stay back from the light a bit, but do occasionally forget. It is definitely a problem |

I've been doing what Kraut said, especially after I ran a light... THe light I could see wasn't for my lane... Haha |

I remember seeing a small, triangular mirror-like piece on the dashboard of some 50's cruisers, especially the ones with chopped tops. It was there to reflect the overhead traffic light. I wish I could find one now. |

LOL - well, chalk one up into the "no probme buying a Prowler" side of the card I've been leaning forward/backward in my Wrangler for YEARS now, seems DC does a good job making sure no one can see any traffic signals at ALL It's okay though - as long as we look cool in what we drive, who cares about ergos! LOL rich |

It happens a lot to me in the Spring when I first get the kat out. By Fall I've learned, then I have to start all over again the next year. |

quote: I bought one that has suction cup to hold against the windshield, but the shape and size I could not find a place that didn't block my view and it would work. I'm still looking for one that mounts to the dash. I remember seeing them in the `55~`57 chevys a long time ago and always wondered what it was for. |

Very funny, Wayne.......................but you're right.. I don't have a problem with that..........and before anyone else asks the question about the steering wheel, I don't have to see over it, I can see through it! |

That triangular thing was a prism. It mounted on the windshield in the vicinity of the rear view mirror. ------------------ |

I look over the top of the windshield frame with the top down. With the top up I usually ask Sandy what color the light is. I hate the fact that the rearview mirror takes up about 60% of my field of vision. It is smack-dab in the middle of my line of vision. |

You people just make it to hard. Just move to a small town like I live in and you have NO traffic lights to worry about. And that is good because we are watching the road so we miss the droppings from the amish carriages and there (1) HORSE power horse. God don't you just hate cleaning that brown stuff out of your tire treads??? Just ask Fixuum!! |

In answer to "What is a stop light?" The definition we had in my younger days was STOP "Spin Tires On Pavement"? Works for me!! ------------------ |

My sunvisors are off and I only drive with the top down. I am 5'8" tall and cannot see the traffic lights in front of me. If there are no side traffic lights I am ducking with the rest of you. |

With top up I lean forward. Sometimes I wait for car in the other lane to more forward and then I lean forward. With the top down, I have the visors up and look at the light in the space between the top of the windshield and the bottom of the visor. ------------------ |

Anyone who drives a Prowler with the top up needs to consider trading it in on a coupe. LOL You bought a convertible for a reason, right? |
