I ran my Kat through the lights last weekend, and was surprised at the slow times that I posted. My slowest run in Drive was 15.58, and my fastest was 15.33 using Autostick. I was under the impression that a stock Prowler would run mid 14s. On the plus side, I've re-kindled my love for Bracket Racing, and I'm actively hunting for a 10 second Car. Any leads are appreciated.Later!!! Doug |

Doug. Glad you enjoyed it. Times are dependent on elevation and weather. To my knowledge, No stock Prowler has ever run a mid 14s. The fastest stock I remember reading about may have been racerx(??) out of FL with a 14.7. I've seen a few Stocks around the 14.9s and 15.1s... And, I've seen other stocks in the 15.2 to 15.5 area. Again, times are dependent on elevation and weather... ------------------ |

During the Cruisin' the Coast event last October, I was able to race my cat for the first time ever. During the bracket racing, my best time was 14.973 (in Drive), which was my last run. ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

CJ - at the same time Laddie was running 13.3's and last week he ran 12.7's at the same track. It's possible you could be running 14.3 to 14.5's given better track conditions. (Of course engine modifications will assist with faster times, too! ) ------------------ This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 04-04-2003 at 08:05 AM |

I also ran 14.9 at 91.5 MPH at No Problem raceway in LA last Oct. I have Borla exhaust and an MTD Air Intake. The consesus of all that have tried, is you will get better times by starting out in Drive. After it shifts to third drop down into Autostick so it won't shift to 4th before you hits the traps. With the grip this car gets off the line it should make an excellent bracket car. |
