stop hiding!!!

I know that there are at least 5 Prowlers on "The Hill" - a silver car with license "RCHENAULT" (near Miraleste???), a purple car behind the gates in Rolling Hills Estates (I think this is the '97 that was sold by South Bay Chrysler a few months ago, who told me he was sure it was a '98!!) that I see often coming down PV Drive East on the weekends, a gold car that I have seen several times on PV Drive South in the South Shores area, and now I passed a yellow car on my way to work today on PV Drive North. My wife also knows of a silver car from Redondo Beach that works on "The Hill" daily.

We live in probably the nicest Prowler cruising territory in all of SoCal, yet you're all out by yourselves.

I am far (extremely, very, VERY far) from being a "joiner" of anything, anywhere, ever, but I urge all lurking Palos Verdes cat owners to introduce themselves to the board here - no donations, secret handshakes, cult rituals or funny hats are involved.

It would just be nice to meet other owners in the neighborhood and take advantage of our location to do some local cruises. It just seems really dumb that we're all out there in such a small little area, but not even meeting each other.

I haven't went to one meeting or one function, yet only 30 minutes away. Not that interested in some of their events Good luck Try leaving a note on their cars or something?? CTP

DeadEnd, that is a shame that you guys do not know the secret handshake or have the funny hats. lol. Here in the midwest we thought for sure the Cal. guys would have them first, with us being a few years behind.
Seriously, some of them may not have a computer or even think to look for a Prowler site. Some do not want to be obligated to attend meetings, not knowing that it is totally free from an mandatory events. Try to talk to them, but we have the same situation here. Hopefully they will join up and reap the benefits of the knowledge of the other owners.

Yeah, yeah - I thought about that, and you are all right - they may not know that anything like POA exists. But my guess (based on local demographics, car awareness level generally, etc.) is that these are enthusiast-owned cars with relatively sophisticated owners, and I'm betting that at least some of them are aware of the group.

Short of putting a sign up on local telphone poles, I have no other way to contact them, so this "shout out" is just that - if I get someone's attention, fine. If not, that's fine, too.

Ed, you may be right - perhaps it is the absence of membership dues, funny hats and secret handshakes that is holding them back!!! They can't see the value...

Don, I've pulled up to SO Cal Prowler's a few times and they wouldn't even look at the Kat next to them. Kinda hard to tell them about the POA then. Many people just don't want to know or, maybe pretend to be the only Prowler in town?

Don,
Just to let you know, Todd is sooo corrrrect.
Every time I see him in one of his many kats I always try to ignore him. That why he he has this complex of not being acknowledged.
I will make a promise that the next time I see Todd I won't ignore him. But with so many Kats that he drives I won't recognize him anyway , so he going to accuse me of being a Stuck Up SO CAL Cat.

Hey Dan - don't worry about ignoring Todd! He and Ophie were driving through Fillmore and I was at the corner gas station waving my arms like a madman, they didn't even acknowledge me

Then, driving eastbound back out of town, they came up on me (in their Silver and Blue), they were kind of far back so I pulled over to the side and when they got close I pulled out and started waving my arm out the window... no acknowledgement. Finally, I started honking my horn and Ophie looked over and saw me...

I am sure all the other drivers thought I was just a plain ol' geek... well, I am but c'mon

On the bright side, the next time through town, Todd stopped by to say hi to me

Thanks Todd - it was great seeing you and Ophie again and your Orange Kat

Cliff,
Great reply.
I will be with Todd tomorrow at Starbucks for coffee in Newbury park.
I will make it a point to have him WAVE to everyone.
See you later.
Hopefully for the next cruise. Hope you don't go into the batting cage and try hitting those curve balls, leave that to the "BOYS".) Good luck to the boys in there games.
I sure do miss those days.
