Just wanted to let everyone know that I printed off the thread started by Ed to once again (on the 1st anniversary of the production end) thank the CAAP employees for their dedication to building the coolest car on the planet! I produced a glossy cover page with the Prowler logo, a Prowler and the POA logo......an introduction page, and a closing page. I found a very nice presentation folder with clear page inserts to use. It resembled a book after I put it together. They were very appreciative and planned to display it in the lunchroom where everyone could take a look at it and then it would be given to Cindy Henderson (Plant Manager) for keeping. Thanks to all of you who posted your comments and thoughts. They truly appreciated the effort. This message has been edited by CJ on 02-15-2003 at 10:22 PM |

CJ, once again thanks for doing all the dirty work and taking care of all of us. I know I appreciate all you do. |

CJ - this is probably impossible to do, but is there a way the plant or the union could let the workers who were displaced by the production stop know of the "book"? I appreciate all that everyone involved has done at CAAP, and it is relatively easy to express this on any visit to those who are there, but I wonder about those who are not at CAAP anymore. Hopefully they too know our appreciation for all they have done. |

GPS John, I know what you are saying but, I'm not 100% sure that letting those laid off know they did a great job and it was appreciated is the way to go. Getting laid off can be pretty tramatic for alot of folks and reminding them 12 months later might be like rubbing salt in the wound. It might also give them mixed signals. You did such a good job and it was appreciated so much, we decided to lay you off! I think CJ is right, posting it at the plant so if/when they want to come back (or feel they can) they can see it there. |

John......... Based on the reactions and responses at the CAAP Tribute and the week following, I think all that were involved knew how much we appreciated the job they did. However, some of those individuals are obviously no longer there and it is not a constant daily reminder as it is for the ones remaining. Quite frankly, I have no desire to contact the Union or to attempt to talk the Plant into contacting those who aren't there anymore.......but if someone else wants to....go for it. They all have bigger fish to fry right now! |
