I talked to Dean today and he asked me to let everyone know he took a serious fall while hiking and climbing about a week ago. After about a week in the hospital and reconstruction of his tibia and knee (which includes numerous plates and screws) he will be laid up for quite a while. He was released from the hospital yesterday and is just getting settled in for a long recovery. The doctors already have him doing rehab, which he says is very painful, and he has to stay off of the leg for a while. He indicated after a little rest and recovery he will try to be taking phone calls and will be up and about (with crutches) as soon as possible.
I hope so because I was taking my car to him next month for a few more Prowler Pro goodies. I assured him, I would set him in a chair and he could just instruct me as to what to do but somehow I don’t think he liked the idea.

Dean:
Sorry to hear about your accident and hope you have a speedy recovery.

I don't want to come off as an expert, but I've had SEVERAL procedures on my knees and legs. Please try and be patience on the recovery time, but push yourself on the therapy. Take one day at a time and before you know it you'll be back.

Best of luck!

Bummer about the fall, Dean ... hope the healing process is quick and you get a cute physical therapy technician! So much for the mettal detectors at the airports for ya now, though ... they love metal screms, pins, etc.!

Sorry to hear about the accident Dean.

Take it easy in rehab, patience is required.

Don't push it too hard too fast.

Talked to Dean tonight and he's slowly recuperating. He has alot of hardware both in and out of his leg and hopes the doctor will remove some of it Friday so he can at least drive. He hopes to be back to work next week but that may be pushin' it a little.
