Well after numerous of "yeha go fo it's!" and "I would like to see that's" I've decided that my new project that I keep seeing in my head is now going to be applyed to paper. In other words i'm gonna draw it.Now it may take me a little while but when it's done it's going staright to Chrysler headquarters(don't worry I'll post pics before I do).I wanna do something no one else ever has.I want Chrysler to change their minds about the prowler and bring it back a 160 plus mph.I don't know if I can find a bottom or top shot to show whith and diamiter of the engine bay, trans, and axel.I read some of the other posts about how to make a v-10 prowler and if there's anything I missed let me know.BTW guys i'm looking for colors and options for the car.The first is going to be electric blue with a white interior. So if you got more let me know.

Sincerly,
Ron

I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but DaimlerChrysler will never be bringing back the Prowler. The car was originally put into production with a plan of only producing the car for a 5-year run. It has nothing to do with liking the car or not. It has to do with governmental issues. Quite frankly, Mr. Iaccoca never wanted to put the car into production in the first place. If it hadn't been for Bob Lutz and Tom Gale, it never would have been built. We're lucky we got it for the five years!

I don't know CJ... Maybe we have another Bob Lutz or Tom Gale in our midst I know what you say is true, but we can dream right? They could always call it something else... Let's see... We have the Prowler... They already used Howler... How about something like the Mauler!!! Heck... If it has a V10... Nothing will stand in its path it

Go ahead ProwlerGTS!!! Design till your hearts content!!! We'll make it work!!!

CJ not to be rude or anything but did any of us really care what Mr. Iaccoca has to say about the car?More or less I think it should be a Lutz,Gale,Shelby & me project and it was a many to 1 descision on weather the car should have been made.Iaccoca lost.We won and the car was built.BTW I have gotten suggestions about making leg room and head room for guys that are like 6 feet and higher.I need colors guys!!!Should it be a hard top?Prowler design or Howler design?I think a Howler version would look meaner. How much power should it put out?Remember it's a stock V-10 with 500hp is what I have in mind.600hp in a prowler or howler is nuts.Add the viper tuners (Hennessey,RSI,TNT,etc.) and there could be a 1000hp+ prowler or howler.Imangine that!240mph on the salt flats.

ProwlerGTS,
Here's some ideas. It can't have the V-10. That would put it up against the Viper. So, let's say it has the HEMI engine. That would give it as good or better power than a Vette. It needs to be bright colors, and black, of course. ABSOLUTELY has to be a convertible. If ya want a hard top, buy one. Lastly, keep the same shape. It's priceless!

Ron - since Bob Lutz isn't with Chrysler anymore - how about pitching it to GM? (I know, I know... I am a Mopar dude... but... THEY did send Bob Lutz out...)

We went to the auto show last Friday and frankly the Dodge and Chrysler sections were not very impressive. Nothing new, everything there has been seen before. Not even the Charger was there - I expect it was at another show instead.

The GM section was VERY impressive! You can see they are really looking to the future - that is why I think you would have better luck there.

Cliff, the good stuff is probably in Detroit. Cincinnati's car show is the same time as the Chicago show and we never have any of the new stuff. I quit going to it when they did not have the new T-Bird or a Corvette in early 99. Then I bought the cat and did not care what else they came up with, anyway.

Just for the record (not to be rude or anything), Mr. Iacocca was the CEO of Chrysler at the time, so his opinion did count. In addition, Lutz CHOSE to leave........he was not sent out. We would have preferred that he stayed.

Bob has already been to the show, and says he thinks there are less cars overall this year at the show. The displays are pretty elaborate, however.

Good luck with your project.

Never say never! Cadillac said that about convertables once. Novas were gone, but came back (unfortunately). Same with Monte Carlos.
