The KAT turned over 50,000 miles on the way back for Indianaoplis Friday. I know John Davies, Catwoman, prwlyn, have over 50,000. Larry Lord had more than that on his first kat, JP is getting close. Anybody else? Anybody hit 60,000 miles yet or more (on one car)? Does anybody have any info about 300Ms or Intrepids with a lot of miles? What kind of issues arrise with higher mileage on the drive trains? Happy Prowling Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream This message has been edited by Marty Usher on 12-09-2002 at 08:34 AM |

Marty, Don't you just count the miles since CTC as half? ------------------ |

Marty, I had that 94 Intrepid and had over 100K on it. There was a recall on the transmission early on and I never had another problem with the drive train. However, the front end was a totally diff. story. Everything got replaced. |

I don't expect to live long enough to put on 50,000 miles. At age of 72 and 5,000 each year to make 50,000, I will be wheeling around in a wheel chair at age of 82. |

Jerane, if you are really 72 and driving a Prowler, I salute you. Good for you. When I was a kid a guy in our neighborhood had a 55 or 56 Vette and he was an older guy with a grey crewcut and I would see him come home and think that was too cool. The Vette was new back then and you did not see many of them on the street. |

Todd, Yes, I have the 7 year/100,000 mile. It still wasn't ready today. And I'm hoping that they DID put on the newer torque converter. ------------------ |

JP - sorry to hear about the tranny/torque convertor problems. What were the symptoms? |

Marty, Thanks, but luckily, I bought the ext. warranty. Not much warning. Tranny started slipping, then went into limp mode. Thought it was the sensors. Nope. Look for my post about it. ------------------ |
