I purchased one from a dealer some time ago and have yet to use it. If you expect to do some traveling and do not have a luggage rack or trailer, it may come in handy. You could keepa spare jacket, etc. in it to have in case of need like weather change, etc. I don't remember what I paid for it, something around $90.00. |

Chuck, I tried to get a Prowler Garment bag for a reasobale, most dealers that have them in stock have marked them up 200% because I don't think they make them any more. If you find a place that is selling them for a reasonable price let me know. The ones that keep showing up on eBay are for around $98, which is only a few more $$$ than the dealership prices (plus shipping). Iif you really have to have one, and you can't find one through your dealership, get one from eBay. I bought mine from over the phone from a dealership in NJ about 6 months ago. They supposedly had several in stock at that time. You can also check w/ "moparparts" (screen name on eBay), that particular parts person was very helpful over the phone, in finding a location for specific parts that he may not have had. The bag is "very" basic, but it does have long straps for attaching it to the convertable top hold down straps inside the trunk. It is black and has the Prowler (name & cat) logo embroidered in purple - only on one side. It is large enough for an overnight stay for 2 people, as long as they pack lightly (1 or 2 changes of cloths for each - max). |

I got one a few months ago and leave it in the car. occasionally I'll put a coat or an extra shirt in it. It lays flai and doesn't take up any room. I paid about $90 for mine. Al ------------------ |

I bought one of these, in fact, before I bought the car. This was consistent with my strategy of purchasing as many accessories as possible BEFORE buying the Kat. The conversation went something like this: "Honey, we HAVE to buy the car! What am I going to do with all these parts if we don't?" It worked. By the way, I have yet to use my Garment Bag...but it looks cool! Kevin ------------------ |

Is the quality any good? Or would I be better off buying a nice garment bag from a Department/Discount store and putting a Prowler Logo patch on it? |

Quality is great. I'm not sure, but it does look water proof, with the exception of the opening for the hook of the hanger(s). It only has one zippered pocket, which covers one side of the exterior (when folded in half). There are no pockets on the inside or on the inner side (when not folded). It has two long & narrow straps for tie-downs, and two additional clips for attaching it to the convertible top clips in the trunk. The only bad thing about it is there is no place to secure the long straps, so I don't think I would check this item in at an airport. For Prowler use, its great for short weekend trips. FYI. |
