Here is pic of inserts. I will get better pic on sunny day later. They look WAY better in person and get lots of compliments. All my friends know I did not make them!! |

Marty, they actually look better on your car than mine. Haven't gotten around to making my new ones yet. Been busy hooking up purple neon to glow out of the chrome side panel louvers & front grille for the turkey rod run. Lot's of trial & error. Also, got the splitty to work on too! Glad you like them. If you need to shine them, just a tad of Mother's Metal Polish works wonders. ENJOY!!!!! Kendra P.S. Hope they don't fall through like they did on mine. quote: KAT 2K - It was something I made & Marty saw them at CTC & liked them so much (they were a little small for mine without the Carlini headrest covers) & he's such a nice guy - I couldn't resist giving them to him |

Good idea Marty,,,,,,,or did you see those on Jan B's and my cat at the Colorado event in June??? Looks BOSS! Kendra - I used clear tubing, slit down the middle, to wrap the outside edge all around. This prevents the piece from moving or tearing a small hole in the leather. |

Alley Cat, I started out with the tubing, and had that on for CTC- it was OK until someone laid their head against it - then it fell through. I didn't like the way the tubing looked, so I bought black U shaped door edge moulding and wrapped it around the top rounded corner then mitered it at the bottom sharp corners. |

Kendra - thanks for the tip on using Mothers Polish. A/C-These headrest inserts were Kendra's design. The ones I made out of aluminum mesh looked cheap compared to these. I was going to use your idea of GMC grill material but saw these and loved them. Without the Carlini covers they push through, so Kendra will make a set a little larger for her own car. I believe I will use a bead of silicone to fasten these to the edge of the Carlini covers. Marty |

Kendra - good idea. Mine are so tight fitting, I can't push them through. Marty - yup, like the cat design on yours also. |

MU: I will use a bead of silicone to fasten these to the edge of the Carlini covers. Marty, don't forget to secure the Carlini covers via the little holes on their bottom lip. It would be tragic to loose these along with the inserts like you lost the previous one. Send pics of the rear view!!! |
