I have a 2000 Prowler and I just noticed that on a couple of the wheels there are small spots where it looks like some of the chrome has "flaked" off? About one small 1/8" spot on two different wheels. Is there anything that can be done about this? thanks for your help, Fred |

It has been on of DC's biggest warranty problems these wheels get replaced under warranty lots I alone have had 6 replaced. Also put on ceramic pads if their not on already helps keep them alot cleaner. hope this helps. PK |

Any idea what DC does with chrome flaking wheels? Are they available for purchase as damaged 'seconds'? |

B.H., I suspect they send them back to American Racing. It wouldn't surprise me if they stripped them and replated them. |

If it is in the 7 year/50,000 mile power train warranty,,,,,then the wheels are not covered after 3 years/36,000miles. If you are in your first 3 year/36,000 bumper to bumper, then yes. |

Is there anyone that is being denied wheel replacement under factory warranty for the chrome peeling/pitting on the inside? My two front wheels need replaced because of this, but my tech has told me that Chrysler will not replace them now if the problems are only on the inside of the wheel. I will get them replaced one way or another, but I wanted to know if anyone else has had a problem. ------------------ • MTD Prowler Intake System 2.2 |
